Better than the Brisbane CBD one that is tucked away blink and you miss it. The Sydney one looks pretty good.

Is this Sn°hetta's first design in Sydney? Has done work in Adelaide, Brisbane, I think.

Big name overseas, Oslo based architect but no major buildings in Australia that I know of.

Walked past this the other morning. Beautiful stonework and stone doors. Very subtle and monumental compared to the surrounding garish shopfronts.

26 new $1 coins.

One for each letter of the alphabet.

Who uses coins?

I collect coins, and have been for nearly 30 years, but I won't be collecting these unless I can score a cheap set. Too much crap coming out of the Mint lately.

But there’s a catch.

The only way to get your hands on the iconic coins is to make a purchase at an Australia Post store and receive the limited-edition $1 coins in the change.

Haigh's Chocolates to offer shire sweet temptations

October 1 2019

Haigh's Chocolates will open its first store in Sydney's south at Westfield Miranda early next month.

It will be the fifth Sydney store for Australia's oldest family-owned chocolate maker and retailer.

Haigh's Chocolates chief executive Alister Haigh said the company is looking forward to having a presence in the Sutherland Shire.

"We are delighted to bring Haigh's Chocolates to Sydney's south following the success of our newest Sydney store at Westfield Bondi Junction," he said.

The new store on Level 2 will be light and bright and feature quality finishes in jarrah, Tasmanian oak, stone and stainless steel.

The style is in keeping with Haigh's well-established store design and the customer experience Haigh's customers have come to expect.

"We can't wait to welcome dedicated Haigh's Chocolates lovers and new customers to the Miranda store," Mr Haigh said.

Haigh's will be among more than 400 specialty brands at Westfield Miranda.

Uniqlo will be opening its 8th NSW store at Castle Towers:

Why 1770 people lined up for Uniqlo
By Imogen Bailey | 3 October 2019

Uniqlo is set to open yet another Australian store, this time at Castle Towers shopping centre in New South Wales.

The 1313 square metre store is set to create 60 jobs for the local region within the Greater Western Sydney area.

1770 people lined up on the first trading day of Uniqlo's most recent opening at Westfield Hurstville.

Uniqlo Australia COO Kensuke Suwa said that the brand is set to continue expanding in the Australian market in 2020.

"Throughout 2019, Uniqlo has continued to grow its retail footprint in the Australian market.

"We hope to keep the momentum going in 2020 and look forward to making the brand even more accessible in Australia.

"The opening of our eighth site in New South Wales at Castle Towers demonstrates our commitment to creating a stronger understanding around our LifeWear message among Australians by offering exemplary customer service alongside high quality, everyday essential apparel at an affordable price point," he said.

Castle Towers centre manager Eddie Paynter said the store is a great addition to the region.

"The arrival of Uniqlo demonstrates the strength of Castle Towers to attract globally relevant brands as part of its ongoing evolution that will appeal to the Hills District," he said.

The Castle Towers store takes Uniqlo's retail footprint to 22 in Australia.

That's quite a bit bigger that the 779sqm Hurtsville store.

Anyone know where it's going? My guess would be where the large Cotton On Pop-up store has been

No surprises there- was always empty and not in a good location/entrance.
Tim Ho Wan also died in that space.

55 Market Street looks close to doing something. St George's has closed.

And Skechers has moved out. They were the last remaining retailer.

Removalists were busy in the tower lobby.
