My idea was just to express the contrast between the feeling I had when walking through Kasturi street at night, and what it looks like during the day like on the picture below. Sorry for my bad choice of words that didn't make my point clear.

Yes it was unfortunate you used "crappy" instead of disappointed, but I understood what you meant even then with no disrespect intended; and yes there were instances earlier I recall some forum members accusing you for being Vietnamese.

I do appreciate your noticing the Konica film signboards on that "PAK TAI" Photo Studio shophouse. It seems so quaint now. Do note at the last shop a few doors away on the same block, before the tree is another Pak Tai studio signboard. Might be a secondary processing shop unit on the upper floor only.

Using Google Streetview, you can look for Jalan Sultan and Pak Tai Photography Shop labelled. You can double tap on the shop front and it will take you into the shop itself with a 360° view of the interior. Apparently there are many shots of policemen/women in uniform from which I surmise the shop is one of the appointed studios for their official photos. After all there is the Kuala Lumpur traffic police station a few hundred metres down towards Pasar Seni LRT station.

FYI for readers: Kasturi Walk is just located beside LRT/MRT Pasar Seni interchanging station, only one station ahead before reaching Merdeka MRT underground station which is where KL118 located.

Not sure about S. Negara but S. Merdeka has already been restored to its original 1957 state for it to qualify for UNESCO historical status back then. That's why the additional seating tiers had been demolished.

So it's 635 metres after all?

Apart from the Edgeprop news article above, the Star, today reported:
Quote:
Phase one is the iconic 635m tall Merdeka 118 tower, phase two is the retail mall while phase three is the three premium residential towers.

As reported by Berita Harian yesterday.(In Malay)
Quote:
Beliau berkata, apabila siap dibina menjelang 2021, menara setinggi 118 tingkat dengan ketinggian 635 meter itu akan menjadi mercu tanda baharu yang melengkapi kaki langit KL
https://www.bharian.com.my/bisnes/la...n-kotemporari.

Both reports put the height as 635 metres. Since Edgeprop, Star and Berita Harian obviously got the information at the official opening of Merdeka 118, can we safely say that's the official height?
