She could have done her job without making too much publicity with the Dengvaxia issue. Filipinos were hesitant to get vaccinated due to the Dengvaxia controversy. Collateral damage in her part as PAO.

She didn't go on a country-wide tour to preach. She was being interviewed by thr media non-stop since the hearings.

Notice how the last 6mos we almost heard nothing until the Dengue outbreak again where it was suggested to revive Dengvaxia and Garin started blabbing again?

Acosta is merely one of the multiple effects on the root cause that is Dengvaxia and how it was unbelievably mishandled. That's a different and long topic altogether.

Blaming her on this Polio case is another easy way out to held people accountable yet again. It's been proven our vaccination program is consistently being underfunded at least since 2014 as per COA and yet we're surprised things like this happened? DOH seems to be incompetent compared to the rest of government departments. If there's no vaccine in the first place why would you blame the scared parents? I think even DOH data shows that's not the case.

San Miguel breaks ground on P6.7-B Iloilo brewery
source: BusinessWorld
Quote:
SAN MIGUEL Brewery Inc. (SMB) on Friday broke ground on its P6.7-billion brewery that is expected to jump-start development in Leganes, a suburb in the north of Metro Iloilo City.

San Miguel Corp. (SMC) president and chief operating officer Ramon S. Ang, Senator Franklin M. Drilon, Iloilo Governor Arthur D. Defensor Jr., Leganes Mayor Vicente P. Jaen II and other officials led the ground breaking Friday in the Leganes barangay of Gua-an.

The 40-hectare facility is expected to be completed in two years. It will become SMB’s third production site in the Visayas apart from facilities in Mandaue and Bacolod Cities.

I wonder why Iloilo? Why not spread it around and put a plant in Tacloban or Ormoc?

That's what I meant. Why not expand in Bacolod vs putting up an entirely new factory across the narrow sea?

Maybe each can sustain a brewery. Only SMC knows.

There must be a reason, but we're not SMC insiders.

Bacolod can supply the big demand for the Negros Island.
Cost of delivery will be higher if they cross the seas and to mention, the logistical delay, risks, disruptions and limits specially during inclement sea conditions.

Building a brand new factory including land acquisition is not cheap either.

Also, you're not shipping beer via katigs or barges. How many times a year does the coast guard stop bigger roro ships from crossing that sea?
