When D4 will be finnished this will be strategic location with very good transport conditions. I think Penta made a good decision.

It's concept. It would be built partialy in long time, but when? Who knows... First should be The Port Mall. It could be built relatively soon. But the rest noone knows.

The Port – New District of Bratislava – Na území ohraničenom diaľnicou D1 a cestou do Devínskej Novej Vsi vznikne nová štvrť Bratislavy s nákupnou zónou, zábavou, administratívou a bývaním. Začiatok výstavby prvej fázy je štvrtý kvartál 2007. Predpokladaný objem investícií v prvej fáze by mal dosiahnuť 280 mil. EUR.

It is not a concept. According to Penta's webpage, they are going to start very soon. I like the project. It makes Bratislava bigger.

Yeah, I'm curious about this name too. Would fit for the Winter harbour better Some may think it will be near Danube, when it's called "Port"

I don't miss highrises there. It's rather perifery but some central square with a bit higher buildings would be great.

Yes, Bratislava has plenty of Shopping centers. But, it still misses some outlet store.

This location definitely deserves development. I hope the construction will start soon. It's enormous project so it will take some time till it'd be finished. I hope also D4 will be finnished soon so whole this part of Bratislava and Záhorie will have very good traffic acces.

It is probably Hornbach, Kika and other stores which are going to be there.

I also do not miss tall buillding in The Port. This can be goob basic for peaceful suburb of Bratislava.

ja by som si vedel predstavit tu ustrednu ciernu budovu na namesti (co vyzera ako utate slovany) aspon 2x vyssiu. vytvorilo by to aspon centralny bod viditelny z celeho komplexu. cez 100m by som to ale asi netahal, taky osamoteny pahyl by tam velmi dobre neposobil.

...well I didn't mean skyscrapers...just buildings in the central part, which are higher than mall, shops, flats and the rest of the development...

Yes very misleading name. When I opened this thread I was hoping it was something on the Danube River! All I see in the photo is green fields. Maybe after global warming it will be a port!

It´s a port in other sense (i ´m sorry 4 my english). It´s GATE. Like in Spanish LA PUERTA, EL PORTAL or portuguese A PORTA, O PORTAL. THE PORT=LA PUERTA=A PORTA. Now U C what I mean?
