The grammatical form of the word Kosova is wrong in the first place. It's the definite form of the country's name.
The correct saying is Kosovė. When you say Kosova you're basically saying The Kosovo.

You could have a point there. I'm not too famliar with albanian grammar myself, but i know for Republic of Macedonia some people say "Republike nė Maqedonise" , which some people debate is grammatically incorrect

It would be Republika e Maqedonisė.
Letter "ė" is placed after each indefinite noun. Letter "a" is placed after the female definite noun and letter "i" or "u" are placed after the male one.
Country names are always written in their indefinite form.

Oh really? You're saying that we can't use Kosova? So how do you ask this question in Albanian then?

"Where is Kosovo?"

"Ku ėshtė Kosovė?" or "Ku ėshtė Kosova?" Yeah, that's what I thought.

What i'm saying is that you cant use the word Kosova as a country in an english sentence. It's grammatically incorrect.

Either way Kosova does not mean "the Kosovo."

7t is right. Kosova means "The Kosovo" and sounds wrong when used in an English sentence.

In Albanian, Kosova (English: The Kosovo) is the definitive of Kosovė (English: Kosovo).

No it doesn't. Where the hell did you guys learn your grammar? As I said before you can't say in Albanian "Ku eshte Kosove?" but you say "Ku eshte Kosova?" and that doesnt mean "Where is the Kosovo?" it means "Where is Kosovo?" as simple as that. Those rules do no apply to countries or cities.

the correct sayin is Kosova since in Albanian all the countries of the world have names that end with A like Gjermania, Anglia, Suedia, Australia, Amerika, Kanada etc...

What are you guys arguing for? In Albanian Kosovo cannot be said, cause you can't say "une jam nga kosovoja"...edhe njerzit e kosoves jan kosovar edhe jo kosovor.

Kosova is like saying Shqiperia. Megjithese emri i vertet i kosoves eshte dardani

lol I know that. My point was that it is wrong when one uses Kosova in an English sentence, while Kosovo is right. Using the former is akin to using the word "Shqiperia" in English sentences.

-Question, doesn't Republika e Maqedonisė mean Macedonian Republic? I think there may be a better wording for it. Wouldn't it be Republika e Maqedon?
PS i dont speak albanian very much.. so don't hate me

@ Lokiqi, no, not all countries of the world end in "A" in albanian..

republika e maqedon makes no sense. republika e maqedonise means republic of macedonia, if you want to say macedonian republik, you sa republika maqedonase.

and yes in English it is kosovo.

Of course you are right on this one, the majority but not all end in "A", for example: Mali, Burundi, Ekuador, Brazil, Mali i Zi (Montenegro) etc etc
