A bit of a random post but I was thinking something the other day, It's common knowledge that only Me and Sefton like Orion on this forum, but walking past it this evening made me think we haven't had anything design-wise like it, I realise the materials aren't the greatest, and the back facing the City is best forgotten about, but from this angle I still think it looks great, along with the glass crown.. Why don't we have anything exciting like this, instead of tombstones, really only The Cube has pulled something off like that since Orion. Also, Orion is probably the only building in the City that has maintained lights at night.

Looks like the website for PGC capital (behind Lunar Rise) is down, so that one could be dead in the water. I think someone posted a while ago that they were being investigated for some sort of irregularities back in China.

Official Birmingham Development Thread 49!

I found an article from the Autumn & posted it on the Lunar Rise thread.

No suggestion of irregularities, but there appears to be some dispute that might be behind the hold up.

Here it is:

Hey Guys, I just wanted to clarify my absence as of late. I had a long and draining work assignment from mid January till early March, and since then I've somewhat struggled with getting back into the swing of things. Also my laptop broke couple of weeks ago so for the time being I've only got my phone.

I still follow the forum and it's my intention to become more active on here once again.

However I've got some exciting news, as of next weekend I will be swapping Moseley for town, as I'm moving into a studio in Beetham Tower!! I can't tell you how over the moon I am. The flat is on 22nd floor and the views are just amazing, so there will be some cool and unusual city shots from me, once my laptop is fixed early April.

Keep up the good work everyone (well most of you lol)

Whilst I was in Shirley this afternoon I saw this huge construction site, it looked like an apartment building.

Naughty Boy Ralph, making Shirley look as if it is in Birmingham. I was doing my bit for my beloved West Midlands, he he he and you go around with your Birmingham head on.

Naughty boy X. The Solihull area gets included in with Birmingham whereas the West Midlands Region thread covers the shires.

On that note, we'll close this thread and bring up the 50. It's long been overdue.
