I think this is a better alternative. Its a blessing in disguise that Ayala is playing hardball. Let them keep their Ayala Avenue congested and bus-based. Its their loss for being greedy m****r f******! I personally experienced living in an area with a rail line with direct access to the airport and it does wonders. That Mile Long Property will surely skyrocket in value and redevelopment, with the government reaping big time rewards. Plus the NAIA extension will compliment the Metro Manila Subway and ensure that the largest CBDs have direct rail access to the airport.

The Ayalas can still salvage this by having the line extended to greenbelt. This will end up forcing people transferring between the subway and the MRT/Ayala Shuttle Terminal to walk through the entire Ayala center. Additional foot traffic.

the Ayalas can actually build their own line if they want .. connecting majority of their properties from Manila Bay upto Rizal passing thru Makati, Taguig and Pasig....

OsMa to Mile Long? that's quite far and skips a lot of good locations for possible stations which I think intersects the JICA Subway? or are those two the end stations?

That's like a bigger and greedier version of Araneta's with the joke that is LRT/MRT non interchange.

You cannot expect yan sa mga Ayala. Hanggat maari gagamitin nila mga facilities ng Gobyerno kagaya ng tren para sa advantage nila. E.g Common station.

The reason why Ayala is against putting stations in their prime areas is because the proponent aims to earn from real estate to be developed on stations. Of course Ayala would want to be the one developing and earning from those areas. Ayala putting up a subway is actually rational, they can connect their metro developments like Cloverleaf, Vertis, Circuit, and Makati CBD.

Actually, if the DOTR bids out the O&M of MRT-3 Like LRT-1 to Ayala/Metro Pacific, I see them connecting the existing MRT-3 to Ayala Avenue and creating an Interchange station that could go down Ayala and then go through Pasay and Paranaque and ending at the new Ayala Mall Manila Bay.

Theres an existing tunnel that connects to MRT under that flyover so It honestly would make sense and by building a new station by Glorietta, they'd be able to aleviate Ayala Station as well.

If you compare this Makati subway plan to the projected ridership of the Metro Manila Subway, which goes through 5 cities, their projected ridership is 350k/day.

Now, this Makati subway was projected by the proponents to have a ridership of 700k/day? How is that even possible for a route (about 5.5km) confined to JPRizal, South Avenue to Gil Puyat, Makati only? It sounds to be an overly confident projection.

And the funny thing is Makati subway proponents seems to be not interested in connecting it to the JICA Metro Manila Subway by deciding to put their station like 15 mins walk away.Haha

If they instead proposed to have a seamless interconnection with the JICA Subway similar to interchange stations in HK and SG they would effectively be connective to 5 cities also and that 700k/day ridership is not really impossible.

Can DOTr compel the proponents of this MKT Subway to have an interchange connection to existing rail lines or at least provisions to the planned lines?

There will be an underground connecting station between University of Makati and KFC/The New JP Morgan Chase Tower which you can interchange via walkalators with Manila Subway and Sky Monorail.

If you are able to walk and interchange at Dhoby Ghaut station in Singapore, you should be able to walk at around the same distance here.
