Has a very European feel to it, nice interaction between the buildings and public realm

I notice it looks like the tram tracks do a loop in front of the building. Hopefully that means they'll finally make good use of the tracks and get a functional service up and running.

Then I guess the pond created by the loop will be a prefect spot for Koi fish or model boat sailing...

I'm confused. Are they adding more rooms to Century City Hotel which opened in 2016?

It is confusing... Its a completely seperate building and its seems to maybe be 'The Century City Hotel - Bridgewater' which confuses things more as the original 'Century City Hotel' is in the Bridgeways precinct

Go figure

That's good news as Century City could use another hotel.

An hotel is also planned for the new Ratanga precinct.

Excerpt from a Rabie News Release

The recent successful launch of our exciting new development Bridgewater One, has reinforced our perception that the market conditions are changing, with much more movement anticipated in the next two to three years. Bridgewater One will comprise of a residential component of 122 apartments, an 80-bed luxury hotel, sectional title studio offices, a larger corporate office building and a small retail component. Having sold out 70% of our apartments within the first week, we are confident that offering a well-priced product, in a safe and secure location and underpinned by an experienced precinct developer, will continue to make great investment sense.

Excerpt from a Rabie News Release

With apartments priced from R1,33-million for a studio, one-bedroom apartments from R1,87-million, two-bedroom apartments from R2,89-million and a few penthouses from R3,05-million, Bridgewater One offers competitive value, with the added benefit of no transfer duty payable.

Substantial earthworks have already been done, with a total 75 000m3 of earth eventually moved to reshape the ex-Ratanga Junction land. Currently, the basis of the infrastructure is being attended to, with construction to commence early 2020 and occupation estimated for May 2021.
