I have high hopes for this tower.

Especially after the horrendous International Towers 1, 2 and 3 close-by.

I actually think those towers are adding some much needed stature to the skyline.. I have always found Sydney's skyline to be quite dainty.. I wouldn't discredit the towers just yet.. I technically really wouldn't call Barangaroo a part of the CBD of Sydney.. I really think the International Towers have tipped the scales of Sydney's skyline to the west..and it doesn't really have anything to do with height.. when you put 3.1M square feet of new office space in an area; it is going to change the dynamic of a city.. granted 3M square feet could be just a building in New York City; but I would probably compare the development in Barangaroo to Hudson Yards development in NY.. just on a smaller scale..and maybe in this case; you will start to see a push to scale up the CDB a bit..(and it might already be in the works)

I think I don't like the coloured shade panels (or whatever they're called) and would have preferred dramatic and high sheen glass.

Even though I despise casino's (well and James Packer)......... THIS tower will add a lot to the Sydney skyline.

Here's a screenshot from the Barangaroo webcam, as posted by Skyscrapersarethebst in the NSW forums. Core box appears imminent.

I will be very surprised if this building will be completed before 2020. I'm a local and keen for more progress.
