Most of PNR curve alignment radius plays between 600m to 300m and the min requirement for 120kph is the least at 800m radius and for 160kph at 1200m radius.

Looks good.

I hope the rails to Batangas port will be interoperable (e.g. electrified, same gauge) with NSCR to provide fast and easy access to Batangas from Metro Manila.

Mukhang icoconnect nalang ang SLH sa NSCR. I would like to see an 8car train set Bicol express at 4car Batangas train coupled by 4car Lucena train express

It cud be betterin in a high quality resolution. But the image is already speaking a lot like Iriga and Bato existing alignment will be bypassed for a new route likewise Plaridel to Gumaca coastal railway. San Pablo will be bypassed also likewise the Horshoe Pass in Caluan. Between Ligao and Guinobatan the proposed alignment will be drifted away to south by half a kilometer bypassing an existing depresses line that prone to Lahar from Mayon. The CPCS Sorsogon City alignment will be drifted to north and passing Lucena City will be move to North.

SLH will mot terminate in Los Banos nor Batangas Line in Calamba. They will begin in Sucat (eventtually to Manila Port when NSCR and Connector is done) based on the contract agreement signed. The green line represent an interconnecting line or an existing opeeration of PNR where aside from SLH is an existing line and a proposed elevated railway line (NSCR). Bear in mind that NSCR does not support freight ooeratiom so it cud never be utilized as link for SLH to get to Manila Port.

This is the source. Theres probably no available image with high resolution. Now if you double check the portions with thick blue lines, its either these place are prone or depressed areas, very tight curves, heavy built with lots of houses.. etc. that holistic relocation is no longer viable. Look at Naga City, if you check the sat. image closely reveals that a lot of houses are going to be affected and the depot area near naga is below their proposed depot area.

New PNR Bicol Express| Length: 683km| 9 Stations

most likely at-grade dahil elevated na ang NSCR. And yes, existing line will be switched to standard gauge.

The appropriate word is to "add" an not "replaced" the existing narrow guage with new standard gauge. DOTR has long been in their plans ymthat they will preserved the old narrow gauges tracks as this directly passess to the toen centers. The existing tracks when SLH is finished will be utilized as feeder line to allow passengers to have access to SLH which has limoted stations.

The proposed tunnel sections of SLH will be located at Padre Burgos, Nurgos and Irosin, Sorsogon as what the sketch is showing. If you check closely the SLH and Existing PNR vo exists in many syraight lines but bot very offen on curves.

So just to clarify, the existing cape gauge network will stay cape gauge and not be widened?

Sometimes we do have to do research also rather keep asking question everytime a post is being made or review previews pages in these thread. The answer is always here or in the internet but I promise the moment I got some updates I will immediately post it here..
