The two lines would merge in what they call as the 'Espana Ramp'. Pero their proposal did not consider the (1) NLEX-SLEX connector road and (2) detailed specifications of the South Commuter [na hindi naman si PNR nagiimplement kundi si DoTr]. Malaki ang chance na hindi mag push through yung component na to (at bumaba ng onti yung $1B project price tag)

- Proposal did not also consider the Quezon Avenue station of the Subway pa, so hindi pa clear yung magiging 'layering' ng Quezon Avenue-EDSA intersection. Pati na rin Skyway Stage 3.

- Depot is underground and would be placed in the vacant UP lot across technohub

- NEDA already expressed way back that East-West is more favorable than BRT Line 1; thus, it has no objection with regards to the shelving of that single BRT route. As for the other BRTs, NEDA is still waiting for the alleged DoTr study.


I'd love to post here the Feasibility Study and the Preliminary CAD for East-West but my boss would kill me sorry huhu
This BRT thing just came out of nowhere. The old Line 4 (East-West) would be far more desirable esp if they went from Novaliches all the way to Bilibid (I think that was the original plan) instead of this L7 taking part of its alignment and going down to North Ave. JICA has had this in their masterplans for like 20-30 years, so they've done all the prelim studies already.

It's a disconnect to LRT 2 if it will terminate near Morayta. The nearest LRT 2 station is Recto which is napakalayo sa Morayta. Ang layo din ng Quiapo from Lerma pag nilakad mo. Sa bagay, engineering challenge nga naman if it will terminate near Isetan. Imagine a more massive EDSA-Cubao. However, ang lawak nga naman ng Quezon Blvd. and the road can well accomodate a train line.

can't they terminate somewhere near isetann along quezon blvd? is it impossible to make the sharp turn towards quezon blvd, pass under lrt 2, and then terminate near the corner of recto and quezon blvd?

OR they can just buy the row going through these houses/structures and run it through there to end at L2 Recto station or even right up to L1/Tutuban. It is money well spent on behalf of the people. That's what infra is for.

Can't they have the terminus beside Recto station instead? This would make it easier for commuters and the area is just full of illegal settlers anyway.

in dream world this will have a station near enough for easy transfers to and from the Recto and D. Jose stations.., and the entire swat of bilibid area will be converted into a well maintained green park surrounded by dormitories and decent watering holes for university belt students.
