SMC Express Train

Quote:
Another project is the express train from Metro Manila to the proposed Bulacan Airport and the new airport itself.

Ang said the express train would translate to travel time of only 15 minutes from EDSA to Bulacan.

As for the airport, Ang said SMC is ready to jumpstart the $15-billion Bulacan airport project as soon it hurdles the Swiss challenge.

He said the company’s airport proposal has been subjected to a Swiss challenge, but he does not expect any other party to make a bid for the big infrastructure project.

^ san kaya magiging start nito at magiging route?

Obviously, San Miguel will build it along NLEX and the start point will be somewhere in Balintawak. It will be a hotspot for property developers.

MRT-11 will start at Balintawak as well so there's a possibility to interchange.

So magaling talaga ang Ayala. Sila ngayon nauna sa Balintawak

May planned MRT 11 na pala. This is good news, more lines faster travel. Saan mga ciudad dadaan yung mga stations? 😊

MRT-11 is an unsolicited project; wala sya sa plano ng DOTr/JICA
Quote:
The project involves the construction of an approximately 18 kilometers Metro Railway Transit System (MRTS) of elevated structure starting from Epifanio Delos Santos Avenue (EDSA), Balintawak in Quezon City traversing along Quirino Highway, Novaliches and Zabarte Road in North Caloocan City up to Barangay Gaya-gaya in San Jose del Monte, Bulacan. A passenger transfer facility shall be provided proximate to the EDSA-Balintawak station of LRT Line 1 and the MRT 11 Balintawak station.

Ano ba ito, ang gulo-gulo. I thought the rail is supposed to go to the projected airport in Bulakan, not San Jose del Monte.

200km railway

Quote:
MANILA, Philippines — Food-to-infrastructure conglomerate San Miguel Corp. (SMC) plans to build an MRT Loop with an airport express – similar to Hong Kong’s much-touted MTR – that would seamlessly connect Metro Manila to its planned aerotropolis in Bulacan.

The planned elevated train system will span some 200 kilometers and will connect SMC’s proposed New Manila International Airport (NMIA) in Bulakan, Bulacan to EDSA and various points in between, SMC president and COO Ramon Ang told reporters in an interview in his office.

While the stations are still being finalized, the MRT Loop is envisioned to include a non-stop high-speed train that would allow fast connection between EDSA and the Bulacan Airport.

“In 20 minutes, you will be at the airport,” Ang said.

He said this would be something like Hong Kong’s famous MTR which connects the airport and the city, and gives passengers the option for faster travel through the airport express line.

Edit: info correction

I hope RSA has a plan also for LRT1& MRT3 with this new train kaseh sila yung sasabog sa volume ng passengers pag nagawa yan.. Malamang lahat ng workers at passengers na wlang masyadong bagahe within the metro will be on these two trains tapos transfer sa SMC na link na yan.. 😂😂😂.. Pero optimistic with this.. I'm sure may plano din yan.... Let's just be patient for it. 😁..

kung connected sa EDSA, parang Balintawak nga ang terminus which then follows NLEX thru the SMC Airport. May malaking greenery space pa dun right across Ayala. Mukhang northern portion of the Metro ang making noise sa infra development ah...in the 90's and early 2000's puro southern with all the tech factory in Cavite and Laguna...

SMC is very keen on putting PH on the world map of mega infrastructure. If NMIA will be commissioned 4 years from now, it will need to have a highspeed rail going to NAIA, Makati and perhaps BGC and of course to Clark green city.

Im fantasizing about PH first Bullet train running from NAIA to NMIA and up to Clark green city. I hope in our lifetime we can all realize that.

Why not connect it sa MM Subway nalang?

QC CBD, Ortigas at BGC. If natuloy yun Makati Subway connection sa MM Subway connected narin ang Makati CBD plus Rockwell+Circuit.

No need for HSR type for NAIA-NMIA.

No need for HSR IMO - a 120-160kph reliable train will do.
