Thanks Steve, so based on the above, "Section 10" has now been updated (though I have not had time to check if all the pre-existing Webcam listed are still "Live") as follows . . .

Quote:
.

Worth adding this one - http://www.bluestarline.org/webcams/...lds_mouth.html

This is basically the North Tyneside Council web camera coverage of the mouth of the Tyne but has on screen additions such as AIS to see ship movements.

This link gives a view over King Edwards Bay, Tynemouth @ http://www.bluestarline.org/webcams/...tynemouth.html

Finally this one cover Tynemouth Long Sands @ http://www.tynemouth.org.uk/webcam.pl and a further one @ http://www.tynemouth.org.uk/webcam.pl?2

Thanks again Steve . . . and please everyone keep posting on here any additional 'External Websites' (for any of the 20 Sections) and please also let me know any changes to links to any of the existing Websites that we already have listed.

Many Thanks!

Don't see this on the external links page so may be worthwhile adding NH - Jesmond Network @ http://www.jesmond.uk.net/

I was just about to look to see if it was in the listing, having seen your link to it ('Jesmond Network') on the Pubs thread, when I saw your note above!

It is now included, in Section 09.

Ha ha, just replied to your PM, suggesting that you post a link in here !!!

Great to see one of my favourite websites Newcastle Daily Photo, back on-line!

I will add your new link, right away, to Section 09 of our Websites Listing Thread, under both N (for 'Newcastle Daily Photo') and under P (for 'Photos').

Regards,
NH

PLEASE READ THE BELOW "COPY" OF MY LAST REQUEST ABOUT THIS - THERE ARE STILL OCCASIONS WHEN DUE CREDIT TO SOURCES IS NOT BEING GIVEN . . .

Please . . .

I have posted this request to all Forum Members, here on this Admin Thread, a LOT of times now

REMINDER ABOUT QUOTING SOURCES.

Please everyone, always remember to quote the source of (and a specific HYPERLINK back to) any images/photos etc, that you post on this forum.

I have mentioned this many times on this thread, but am mentioning it again today, as it is still sometimes NOT being done - happened again yesterday.

Thanks.
.

It is an important RULE throughout Skyscraper City, that if we use someones work, such as posting a photo from their site or using a 'scan' of any of their work, then we MUST give credit back to them, back to our source.

The instructions that I am given (as Moderator) by SSC are clear . . . if a poster does not do this (after ALL these messages) then their post is to be deleted in its entirity.

I have not done that yet, here on the North East England Forums.

I rely on your co-operation please.

If anyone has made a post recently (of the sort described) and you have not "given credit", please go back and amend your post to retrospectively do so.

Thanks,
NH.

A redevelopment of Central Station surely deserves its own thread, rather than being tucked away in a generic rail thread. I would have missed that if it wasn't for the Chronicle!

That's big development news.

Come on guys, play fair and stop giving NH grief - its an easy enough rule to follow after all.

At the bend of the day it is a matter of courtesy to the original copyright holder and also a rule that the site owners require to cover themselves from a litigation perspective.

Could be right!!

That is how 'Project Threads' come into existence, a possible project is covered in its early stages on it's appropriate discussion thread (like 'Rail', or one of the 'Developments' threads) until such time as it is pretty certain to actually happen.

A lot don't ever reach that stage

However, Central Station Redevelopment looks like it is (at last) going to happen now, so perhaps it's own thread is indicated?

What do people think?

Yes I reckon there will be some mileage in that particular project with plenty of opportunities for our 'snappers' to maintain a unique image collection of the progress over the year or so it is estimated to take.

I came across this website recently and think it may well be of interest to people here:

http://www.ribapix.com/index.php

It's an archive of photos held by the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) and is fully searchable. Key in 'Newcastle' for example and it comes up with 364 results. I don't think it is already listedf on the websites index, but apologies if I have missed it.

Excellent Photos Site, thanks Wilf, it was not listed on the Websites Listing Thread.

It is now!

It is listed in "Section 09" of the above mentioned thread, under R (for 'RIBA' and 'Royal Institute') and under P (for 'Photos')

Not sure if you wish to add these as resources to the forum or not, but you're more than welcome to.

I'm in the process of adding a load of my pictures to Flikr and have so far done:

Cafes, coffee shops restaurants & Takeaways - http://www.flickr.com/photos/4811980...7633031620545/

Bars, Pubs & Clubs - http://www.flickr.com/photos/4811980...7633006238485/

Hotels - http://www.flickr.com/photos/4811980...7633004497535/

All the above are in alphabetical order, followed by a date they were taken (YYYYMMDD format) and have been taken since 2009.

They are primarily Newcastle City Centre, but also including some in the immediate surrounding areas, but no further afield than Jesmond at the moment.

I am also doing "sets" of pictures of various projects around the city. Have done my pictures of Downing/Sandman, Sleeperz Hotel & Toffee Factory so far and more to follow.

All pictures in this Flikr account are taken by myself - Hope you find it useful
