As blue_warsaw said, I don't think it's the right place to judge Lviv. I wouldn't have made this thread in the first place.

Grand archirecture. I would give it a higher rating b/c of the arch. I know it is a poor country though. There are no modern buildings either.

skyscrapers would actually do a city like this a disservice.

umm why don't you share YOUR home town that has grandiosely magnificent skyline with 90 buildings that are higher than 1000 ft?

Umm, first of all, the "Ukraine is a poor country" stereotype is a little outdated. Second, the City of Lviv doesn't have a modern skyline because it's more than 750 years old! Why would they demolish beautiful architecture in the old town to put up some glassy boxes?

I agree! Also, I think Lviv is better explored on foot, through the small, old, cobblestone streets, taking in the atmosphere and the architecture. The skyline doesn't do it justice.

Since when is skyline restricted to only modern. There can be historical skylines too. And this subforum is called "Rate Our Skyline" not "Rate Our Modern Skyline".

Also, I just checked the "Rules - FAQ - skyline list - ROS chart" thread, and I did not see anywhere that said it has to be a skyline with modern buildings.

Btw, michal-skoczen, I suggest you purchase a new table, eating on your current one must be terrible.
