A few days in Chicago

So I visited Chicago last october. Unfortunately, I only stayed for three days, so I didn't have the time to really venture outside the Loop area.
Anyway here are some pics I took and a few videos I made from this trip.

Very nice shots of Chicago. It's a city I dream of visiting, and you have shown images of a city that exceeds my expectations. Lots of charming corners and iconic architecture complete with a fantastic river tour.

Great city, especially at street level. Love the marinas, beaches and the river.

Are those prisoners on top of that tower - in the orange jump suits?

I liked it. Chicago is a great city, very neat and well designed, with a lot of character too. I wish I stayed for a bit longer (three days is definitely too short).
But actually, what striked me the most was that, despite all of its skyscrapers and its sheer size, Chicago still felt to me a bit provincial and quiet when compared to New York City.
You don't have the same bustling and international feel than in NYC, and Chicago feels very American to its core.

Great shots. Pic no. 89 of the old couple is a famous portrait if I'm not wrong.

Bonus : just a few clips of trains I shot in Chicago, and that I've edited together.

I like trains.

Oh god I love Chicago, what a beautiful city.

Metaphorically speaking: a phoenix grew from the ashes along with a new school of thought and architecture... - The Chicago School of Architecture.

The Father of the Modern Skyscraper, Fazlur Kahn invented the tubular structure/method which revolutionised Skyscrapers. Bonus fact, he's Bangladeshi, as am I, I count be more happier in knowing that.

One of my favourite rappers (Mick Jenkins) and a plus-size model (and for the sake of her privacy and mine I will not tell you her name) I follow on social media hail from Chicago too, it has a lot of influence on me weirdly enough, maybe it's a calling.

I really do love industrial 'working' nitty gritty cities that have a bit of a flair, it's like 'elegant-counter-culture-architecture,' like 'elegantchic' in fashion but for architecture... - that's why I love North-England.

That is all.
