paul anderson as arthur smashed that out of the park, tom hardy was brilliant too

agree it was confusing, ddint see either of the twists coming, pollys accent is still shocking IMO but most of the main cast is pretty good, some of the extras still sound like scousers

On a completely random note... and this should be in the fantasy Birmingham thread, but...

If the film studio plan went ahead at the NEC would love to see a peaky blinders exhibition, or a museum of sorts.

Complete guess work but....

When the family (except tommy??) were getting arrested. He reassured them that this was the work of the shadowy "Economic League" who had the police on their side. Tommy said he's struck a deal... I'm guessing that it's with his mate Winston Churchill. I reckon Tommy will give them evidence (of something) or blackmail someone high up.... and the Shelby family will be freed.

I think the ending was far too rushed to make sense of anything.

It seemed like they tried to cram in too much and so it became confusing. What happened to the russian Duke and his wife? Why were Pollys threats to bring the whole operation down completely swept under the carpet? Who were the "people in Tommys life" that could get to his child?

I suppose all these loose ends make for lots of speculation, and a hell of a lot of anticipation of the next series.

Tom Hardy is brilliant - Period. Give "The Take" from Sky 1 a watch to see him fully at his best, but be warned. There is a scene involving Hardy & his real girlfriend, Charlotte Riley (who was also in Peaky Blinders) in the third episode which is horrific. Awesome series though.

I'm only on episode 2 of the third series so I'm sheilding my eyes from any spoilers above.

I was in a bar the other day in rural France and got talking to a French girl. I told her I was from Birmingham, "the second city after London.." and all that and she screamed at me:

"PEAKY BLINDEEEEERSSS"
I know, cool story huh (!)

I often wear a Peaky Blinders style cap, owing to a lack of hair and looking ridiculous in a baseball cap. One of the stall holders at last years German Market asked if I was in Ze Peaky Blinders!

Bloody hell, NO, no you would not, it isn't pretty. Long before I could even mutter voulez-vous coucher avec moi ce soir she was being overly friendly, supplying me with drinks, teaching me French, dancing to Alizee Jacotey (remember her?) until I shocked her to her very core with this blinder - ta voix sexy me fait bander comme un porc & allons baiser comme des lapins! These, for some bizarre reason are not included in the Flybe travel phrase kit

I am pleased to announce in these uncertain times that voting has been taking place for the TV Choice Awards. Peaky Blinders is one of the nominees for Best Drama and Cillian Murphy and Helen McCrory are up for Best Actor/Actress awards too.

You can have your vote at www.tvchoicemagazine.co.uk

Voting lasts until Friday 8th July.

Done. Didn't offer me a vote on best actor/actress though. Off for another go.

Edit: sorted.

It's great. Disappointed me after Series 1 though. It's still good, but nowhere near as good.

I think it's been consistently brilliant. I got a bit fed up during series two when the Blues fans appropriated what is essentially an Astonian story, but decided to ignore that and just enjoy the show.

Peaky Blinders series four filming dates confirmed

Peaky Blinders is due to begin filming again next March, Cillian Murphy has revealed.

That means the fourth series will probably be screened next autumn.
