Did you go downstairs to the speakeasy part by pulling a book in the bookshelf?

The Peaky Blinder Pub vintage style photo from the bus on Dale End.

As it was before I used filters to make it look really old!

In the last few days I've heard of Peaky Blinders events taking place in Liverpool, Brighton and Leicester. Not to mention the amazing one at the Black Country Museum.

Really hoping that Birmingham follows suit (as well as finding an owner for the Garrison pub).

- Series 3 14.28m

- Series 4 20.07m

Just updated the viewing figures by adding Series 4. The six individual episodes of this series are the most viewed of any of the twenty four Blinders' episodes so far and the series itself is by far the most watched of all four.

Just updated with the 28 day viewing figures. Each episode of the fourth series was the most watched episode of the week on BBC 2 for 28 day figures. In many cases, it was way ahead of second place. This should be on BBC 1.

Peaky Blinders seen in the window of BBC Birmingham at The Mailbox including a pub sign for The Garrison Tavern.

I earlier walked up Garrison Lane in Bordesley (not Small Heath). The real Garrison closed down in 2012.

If you visit Digbeth, you will find they have already gone nuts but not about Peaky.

The side of the Garrison had work done to make it look more residential. Who owns it? This surely would make an obvious tourist attraction.

Why? Because a TV show pretended they used to drink in there? The tourist attraction should be the Rainbow, where they really did go.

An interview in the Sunday Mercury with Steven Knight says he's looking into the idea of a ballet version of Peaky Blinders which, if I'm honest, doesn't really catch my attention.

However what did catch my attention was that he commented they would start filming the fifth series this Autumn AND he was confident the BBC would sign up for a sixth and seventh series.

Excellent news. An historically accurate portrayal of the Blinders based in an historically appropriate location. Hopefully this will put an end to basing our knowledge of them on a fictional and inaccurate TV show and places like the Garrison, the Old Wharf and the pub in Dale End.

Well O'Rourke's is gone, boarded up. And The Peaky Blinder Pub of Dale End has had this painted on Coventry Street, for the Garrison Hotel & Bar!

Some excellent news.

The fifth series of Peaky Blinders will be moving to BBC1, confirmed by Charlotte Moore Director of BBC content. They're hoping to start production in the Autumn of this year with potential to see it broadcast next Summer. There's a video and extensive write up if you click on the link below.

After the higher ratings for Series 4 I honestly did think that there was a good chance of it being moved to BBC1. It should have been on there from the start.
