I thought that the "black hole threads" are no longer a problem. It turns out that it is still a thing in this forum. Why can't the tech support handle it?

When posting in the following thread:
https://www.skyscrapercity.com/showt...278813&page=52

The new posts are just not visible. The forum accepts the post, reloads the page and nothing. Everything is gone.

Can you guys do something?

I have deleted/undeleted a post within that thread to force the system to recalculate the thread.
Now the last page is viewable again (for me).

It's not really a tech support issue. When we delete a single post from a thread, the system recounts the number of active posts in those threads. But sometimes when we mass-delete the posts of a spammer or something, the system does not recount the number of posts in all threads involved because that query could take up too much of the server resources. So every once in a while we need to manually fix a thread or two.

When my brower (safari) loads skyscrapercity's website a couple of seconds later another website loads up and says my computer is bugged and needs to get fixed. I have downloaded a virus scanner from apple's app store and did a scan that found nothing wrong with my computer. Does anyone know what is going on?

It has happened at the pages I visit which are the home page, Skyscrapers section etc.

I also have the same problem with SSP but it is a different phishing website that does it, and theirs happen more frequently.

Poland still waits for disabling the Polish language pack...

When will it finally happen? I don't think it requires any more effort than just several clicks in the forum control panel...

I had massive issues with Safari, and recently switched to Firefox, no problems on FF so far.

The WYSIWIG editor is (still!) broken in firefox.

We have been thru that several times before.

It seems that the current forum owners don't even read this thread anymore.

From Firefox I can only post from the "Post Quick Reply" button. I dont have any issues with Chrome or IE, but i dont usually use them.

Follow this link https://www.skyscrapercity.com/profi...do=editoptions and change your Message Editor Interface from "Enhanced Interface" to "Standard Editor". Then "Save Changes".
