Its all opinion, nothing more. Tokyo is awesome, but completely different to London. For me, London wins over Tokyo in almost every single way.

Give me Tokyo over London any day. Exciting to see Shangri-La coming to town—are there any renders of interiors?

Good news, with the big pour completed before the rain set in. I was holding the camera above my head, so took 2 shots to cover it.

Was that poured this weekend. Did we find out how many cubic meters it was?

Yes, this weekend. It rained last weekend, and I dropped by late in the week and it hadn't been done. When I got there about 3:30pm, there was only one guy still there. No idea of quantity.

Based on some earlier pics Iím guessing 3,000cm.

Looks like they have only done 1/2 the site.. Wonder Why they didn't do a pour across the whole 2 tower footprint?

Iíd imagine it would be due to the size of it. It would be interesting to see the stats on this one but to do two would be massive.

Also the curing time would be decent. Offsetting them would allow a cycle to be created.

Iím only guessing.

Maybe the footprint for the hotel tower is complicated by Telstra's north-south cable conduit. There has been a lot of work at that end, over the past week, digging beside the conduit, etc.

you are aware that the city referencing was more to do with building tall buildings above metro lines and nothing to do with the cities themselves...

London and New York were used because, as a western group of forumers, most of the members have a relatively basic knowledge of those cities systems as compared to Tokyo or Shanghai (who have equally as complex metro systems)

Confirmed by Delta Group as 2977c.m. Not a bad guess at 3000cm off a picture.

I wasn't worried; all those self-defence classes are paying off.

Friendly guy there today told me that the east tower raft was Australia's biggest pour. The west tower pour should be around the end of the month.
