Stupid question maybe but I assume those blue barriers are to stop people crossing the road rather than to separate the cars.

I'd say so CL81, it's a 8 lane road at it's peak and there are propbably people stupid enough to try and cross it, I've seen so many people cross Birchfield Road which is 10 lane at peak!! (Normal lanes and slips)

Thats exactly what they're for, hence the height. Bloody ugly though.

I spotted an Aircraft warning light on this Crane at 5am this morning.

Seems a little pointless when viewed from distance though as its much lower on the horizon than the BT Tower.

It's reasonably close to BCH and their helipad though, might be for that?

That's definitely the crane I've seen from the Science Park and Aston Uni this week!

Seems like this is flying up! Apologies for asking this question on another thread but does anyone know about the demolition over the road from this and what if anything will take the place of the Aston Uni buildings?

I go past Unicity every day and the site is always busy, refreshing to see a project start and quick progress made!

At this rate it could actually be ready for September

That was a joke, if they actually complete this for the September intake then this would be one of the best managed projects ever in this City.

So nothing is planned for that site then, just demolition it seems!

Cheers Sefton.
