Dunno what it;s called but there's a crane up on Edward st / clement st behind the ICC and the Cube appartments. A fairly ignored part of the city but even there, there is development.

No problemo!

Engels - yeah - I spotted that one on one of Smiley's pics, but forgot about it.

There's a tower crane in Aston (left of the expressway heading out) and also one in Small Heath.

Woody - time for a relist?

JQ is Abacus (2 No.) and possibly Concept? (Shel's pic might show the crane).

So to sum up we are all confused how many cranes cause there are so many up all around the city and given the wide extent of the city centre since the concrete collar has been broken... upto JQ and Digbeth as well as Bath Row etc it's so difficult to count.

Well the likes of Manchester, Leeds etc can go and stick that up there jacksy cause the Birmingham Metropolis kicks ass... YEAH!

Excuse me i think the weather is affecting my usual calm exterior... now where's Drivers Jones when you need them...!

I saw a few cranes next to the NIA when I was coming into New Street on the train. What are they for?

May be something to do with those Council tower blocks they're doing up? Just guessing there...

It might be stephen, but another one I thought of was the Redrow jupiter development. Not one we mention much on here but it has been going on for years. It may well have finished now?

Jupiter isn't yet complete AFAIK - they have just submitted another block for planning.

Woody - been checking out the QE - 3 cranes in place (only 2 visible here as the other is down the hill and hidden by the trees),

And ANOTHER 2 BASES in for the main building

Will also post the full pics in the hospital thread...
