Does SM still use garbage chute? For other developers kasi they removed this system already.

Pick up system, here where i am staying 3 times a day. Garbage Chute causes a lot of problems, stinky basement levels etc.

IMO, garbage pick up is good only if it is done on a regular basis.

Garbage pick-up is what they do here in my condo as well. Works fine. Just don't know how it will work in a condo that's going to be densely populated, being an SM development and all.

Garbage pick up may not be applicable to all buildings. Poorly managed and poorly designed buildings such as those by cityland or maybe sm will just add problems. Garbage are left at balconies and stairwells or placed on undersized floor collection area. They do not have service elevators so you will have to travel in an elevelator with someone carrying their garbage. The space that should have been occupied by the refuse chute is gold to them because these are saleable areas. Poorly maintained chute or garbage rooms is the problem. They should maintain and clean it properly lang.

Wow another hi-end "public mass housing" project by SM.

Seriously, govt should just make a deal with SM. Govt provides the land and SM builds the building to house all the urban poor. SM can collect monthly dues from "owners".

An SM condo can easily house more than 1000 families, freeing up valuable land currently occupied by informal settlers for other purposes

Yeah. Been thinking of the same too actually. However, knowing SM, it will still be ridiculously expensive kahit na public housing na sa kanila yan. The same reason why the Bliss housing became a failure.

I am surprised that this development is not getting the same interest as The Rise. Realistically I cannot imagine SMDC not going up a notch and make this development a showcase to revamp their image especially when you have The Rise as your immediate neighbour. It would be too embarrassing if they screws up....lol.

Rather interesting news as I was told The Rise also move the same amount of units too. Seems like the Shang name is not hurting SMDC sales as well.

This shows there's a HUGE market at this segment.

The Rise still have some unit that is non VAT so grab them while they are available. I believe all Air Residences units are subjected to VAT.
