Beginning of PD-14 engine flight tests is reported to be scheduled for May-June 2015 with Ilyushin 76LL ('flying laboratory').

Maiden flight in 2016 plan is confirmed by one of Irkut top managers as well. According to presidenf of UAC, Rollout is scheduled for the end of this year. There's also a plan to display MS-21 fuselage at the upcoming MAKS-2015 air show in August.

President of UAC confirms roll-out in December. Maiden flight with PW engines - 'first half of 2016', maiden flight with PD-14 - 2017, Russian sertification - 2018, EASA sertification - 2019, first delivery - 2018.

Aft section of fuselage ready at Aviastar. The remaining two to deliver to Irkut are nose and APU sections.
![]() ![]() ![]() Also it turned out lately that MS-21 program had in fact been affected by politics. 'Aviadvigatel' - PD-14 producer - claims that initially there were two versions of combustor for the engine: the one made by 'Aviadvigatel' itself, and the other one - by 'ZMKB Progress' in Zaporozhye (Ukraine) which was 'very promising', but the project was frozen. There's a good chanse PD-14 with Ukrainian combustor would have been slightly cheaper than with the Russian one.

I think they will, the SSJ has found western airline orders. If the Russians can sort out parts supply improved servicing they should get sales.

They should aim on Asian and South American Markets more.
