Nothing wrong with a good old moan, adds variety and it's what us Brits do best! Most of it is observation, most of us are grateful for these towers, but our eyes won't let us see past certain qualities.

I've linked this to the correct thread, but thought i'd share that 22 Bishopsgate will get its rival neighbour after all - has 5 years to get built!

I love a good old moan but i do find it quite hard to moan about this tower. The quality of the build and the finsh seems extremely high (unlike so many towers going up in London). Its not perfect but i'm happy we have this over the pinnacle..

Ah! The Pinnacle, who knows what could have been? I know the renders made it look as if the Royal Exchange had an ice cream cone spouting from it.

BTW, your previous number of 'likes' looked quite 'number of the beast'' and t was worrying me...

Here's another tower proposal for The City by Eric Parry:

https://www.architectsjournal.co.uk/...045397.article

Does this have a thread, if so could someone link it?

In reference to 1 Undershaft: "The new skyscraper will be home to the world's highest climbing wall, giving views from 390ft up as participants climb on the inside of the glass".

Doesn't that touchy feely 22 Bishopsgate also have a climbing wall? Apparently the vapidity du jour.

That article is riddled with errors. They describe the Diamond Tower and then show it as Newfoundland in the picture and give the status as 'under construction'

I've seen three buildings described as "The Diamond Tower" over time., Newfoundland, 1 Undershaft and that one in the city that is yet to be built!

My only objection to the 'Trellis' is that its not 18 feet taller.
