Kokpit I must agree with you! Demolishing these houses would be an irrecoverable loss not just for Budapest, and Hungary but for the whole region. We all have irreplaceable historical values like these, that must be protected. Unfortunatelly the current leaders of Budapest are not famous for taking step like these. Money, money, money... Only that counts...

WOW, i didnt even know that this project is so big scale. I've just had a walk there couple of days ago, and seen the advertisements. So this is why they've closed the West Balkan? (the old one, not the new)
Btw, welcome HunDeX nice to see another Hungarian

Let me get this straight:the constructor builds 2 metro entrances, but doesnt gives an alternative to the former parking lot,by building a gigantic underground parking lot underground?

Oh, sorry. I didn't read the first posts of the thread, about what u're talking about.

Well, I think one of the intentions of Corvin Promenade is to get rid of cross-driver traffic. However, half of the streets will be available for cars too, I suppose, with limited speed like in Raday str. As for the parking lots, there will be quite enough place, judging from the deepness of the basements at the construction sites. They dig it really deep, I'll bring you photos...

F*ck this phone is so bad...

Not part of the Corvine promenade project, but still very close... On the corner of Kisfaludy street and Üllői road...

Current status of the promenade itself:

From Kisfaludy street...

From Vajdahunyad street...

Shots from Futó street...

The place where WB used to be...

The first apartments... 500 of them are already sold!

Corvin Cinema in the background (Yellow building)...

Thank you very much, Qtya. Great shots. Your phone cam ain't that bad...
Judging from the photos, the underground garages will be 2-level and pretty huge... The whole area looks huge... By the end of the year, a totally new scene will be present here.
