Thanks to a bit of advanced warning on Facebook and Twitter, I knew that three Jurassic World raptors would be at the Bullring today. I quickly popped in at lunchtime to take these!

Lost Lego model of the Bullring found in storage!

http://www.birminghammail.co.uk/what...D=FB-Birm-main

Quote:

An incredible LEGO model of Birmingham’s famous Bullring has been discovered – by the shopping centre’s cleaners!

The miniature model - which features 60,000 bricks - was created in 2003 by professional LEGO builder Duncan Titmarsh to mark the opening of the LEGO store at the landmark shopping centre.

But when the LEGO store closed down, the model was put into storage and forgotten about.

That was until cleaners Nick Morrey and Antoni James, who happened to be adult fans of LEGO or AFOLs as they are more commonly known, found what was to them, hidden treasure.

Sorry to bump the thread.

But it's really quite noticeable that there are several discs missing from Selfridges. The original manufacturer went bust in 2011 so I hope they have something else in place to replace them. If not resolved quickly this will look like an eyesore.

Was covered on the mail apparently it’s regular maintenance they’d have spares and if needs be they could always source others I’m sure

I wish they'd do some reworking of the exteriors on Bullring, always been it's weakest element. The interior is great, but outside, if it wasn't for Selfridges it'd be simply awful.

Hopefully with Smithfield they can do something better facing the markets than what we currently have

I think they'll have to. Those entrances to the bullring opposite the markets are pretty poor and almost seem like an afterthought. Most people just seem to use them as a shortcut.

I think best option would be to build an outdoor Liverpool one style terraces of shops with the current facade made into the one side of a goods corridor....

Something like just the left side of this picture with a service corridor behind against the current back
