they could have replicated the Punggol/Sengkang loop in Singapore in this line all the way to the Bay Area. Imagine how convenient it would be if you connected Makati, BGC, McKinley, Pasay and Parañaque. But since we have feudal lords be it from the government and private sector, pigs will fly first before that happens.

Pwedeng isama ang Mile Long Compound kung dun sila sa Magallanes magsimula, in the event na hindi mag-materialise yung Ayala alignment.

Pero sayang 'tong Ayala pag di natuloy. Mas malaki di hamak ang catchment dun.

Agreed! If Ayala is playing hardball on the Ayala Triangle Station, the Mile Long can be an alternative station, and it can still end at SM Makati. I just hope the tunnel is so deep it would be deeper than any of the foundations of those high rise buildings that would be underneath it.

about Mile long 😅..

Quote:
THE government has chosen to redevelop the 2.2 hectare Mile Long property along Amorsolo street in Makati City via a four-phase public-private partnership, which the government structuring the project this way to generate recurring income, a senior official said.

“Joint development ang mangyayari. Government will contribute the land tapos si developer ‘yung magde-develop ng building then later on maybe maghahati tayo sa income. ‘Yun ang initial na nasa isip ni Secretary,” (What will happen is a joint development with the government contributing the land and the developer putting up the buildings. Then later on, maybe we will share the income. That is the Secretary’s initial concept) he said Friday, referring to Finance Secretary Carlos G. Dominguez III.

BCDA will set bidding parameters for potential developers, according to Mr. Chan.

A station in Mile Long is actually a nice idea since there's a lot of offices around its circumference that is just walking distance. I just hope they can extend it more in Buendia and have provisions for further expansion outside Makati in the future.

Finally, a privatization strategy that makes sense financially.

How long of a walk would it be from mile long to the corner of Buendia and Makati?

The proposed Mile Long station is aligned with what I suggested some pages back. That if the Ayalas are reluctant to have the subway go from Buendia to Ayala Ave because of ROW and other issues such as really deep foundations of existing skyscrapers, then it can go through Chino Roces (Pasong Tamo) and then Arnaiz (Pasay Road) instead where the property prices are a little bit cheaper and the buildings aren't as high. Maybe have the "Ayala Center" station at Park Square which already serves as a transport terminal as of now. Park Square also has a mini-park next to it that can eventually serve as the location for the station entrance/exit with minimal traffic disruption during construction even if they do cut and cover, they can just re-plant some of the park flora over the station once it's done.

what if they turn this into an actual loop. in between station 1 and 10 they can add 2 more station located inside BGC.

It was Tony who proposed the project to Mayor Binay, not the other way around. Expected to be completed in five years, the subway is a 10.1 km loop – like a capital C – that will connect Ayala Ave., Circuit City, City Hall, Bliss, University of Makati and Ospital ng Makati. The map that he sketched for me shows the line ending at Osmak, alongside a circle that he marked BGC.

The Chinese partner will begin digging in the next six months and assume the long-term financing “for the rest” of the works after an initial outlay of $350 million. Makati has 25 percent share as equity owner. A ticket should cost about 20 percent more than a ride on the MRT. Extend the line to Manila and Mandaluyong? It’s a possibility.

I think they can do something a la Circle Line sa SG wherein a la Dhoby Ghaut ang Ayala. That is if Makati wants to really maximise the line. Kasi yung current line di mase-serbisyuhan yung mga nasa southern/western part ng Makati.

If hindi naman matuloy ang Ayala, they can connect Comembo to Lawton East MMS station, then Lawton West MMS/Nichols NSRC Common Station, then somewhere sa Pasong Tamo Extension perhaps (though mukhang di gaanong matao sa area na 'to kaya pwede siyang in-fill station if ever), then finally sa Magallanes MRT/EDSA NSRC Common Station. What I have in mind here is that they will use Mile Long as a station.

Under current laws, the surface owners cannot stop the government from using the area under their properties if the portion to be used is more than 50 meters from the surface. That's the demarcation line, if the project is shallow, like less than 50 meters, then kelangan i-expropriate. Otherwise, dapat walang issue.

The most shallow depth for the subway digging will probably be around 10 meters, with an average depth of around 15 meters. I doubt that even the deepest underground basement in Forbes/Dasma would be more than 5 meters deep.

Besides medyo mataas ang elevation ng Forbes Park so para mapantay mo sya sa ibang areas kelangan malalim ang tunnel dito
