Theres no excuses in my eyes, it should be to the same standard as the rest of the development.

Are Dandara developing one of the other resi plots too?

Quite often, the proposals that look poor on paper end up looking the best in reality. We can hope!

Page 36 of the Design and access statement.

Two different types of concrete and some frosted windows.

I find the building inoffensive But I'm more worried about how they handle the southern edge of Arena central. I hope they don't just create a giant podium/wall and it interacts on street level more.

55 pages to effectively show us a building that wouldn't be out of place on Chelmsley Wood.

Page 16 says it all. Which would you prefer an "over bearing" V Tower or this underwhelming effort.

Alpha looks depressing with this Lego set proposal next to it. Yet another lost opportunity :-(

The resi tower can be 100m as it's on lower ground than Alpha. Even if it were taller, it'd be ok as it's quite a distance away.

The office building looks quite dominant over the old Bank, I might prefer another step in the frontage to acknowledge its height, as the library does for Baskerville.

I quite like it. It looks like a mini version of one of the old World Trade Centre Towers in New York.

I can't understand why people are calling this a lost opportunity. This wouldn't look out of place in Brindly place. Yes I did prefer the design with the lattice style detailing. But this is a step in the right direction on a plot that has been an eyesore for as long as I can remember

I'm liking the improved access on the east of the new plan to alpha, should look better.
Any body else hate the hotels on this site though they need to go and something better should be built.

We know about the hotel (I don't mind it G Man ) which should start as well as the landscaping planned but how much of these great blocks are guaranteed to go up and when?

Looking at the plot which this is on and comparing it to Plot D. 270,000 sqft here to 400,000 - 500,000 sqft on Plot D. Something's got to give. That Plot D is going to be a biggie surely. I'm talking 25 to 30 storeys.
