Thanks

Contract just signed for an apartment on Level 88 so I'm quite excited !

Reasons that compelled me to buy:

- Landmark Building Design ('Eureka of the North')
- Direct lift access to Melb Central Station & Shops (RARE opportunity)
- Excellent common facilities (Level 10 Stratus Rec Deck, Level 66 Cumulus Lounges/Cinemas/Karaoke etc., Level 92 Australis Sky Lounge)
- The views
- Title Car Park w/ Storage Cages (No Car Lifts)
- Quality fittings & finishes & inclusions (Timber floors, Stone & Metallic surfaces, A/C, Whitegoods)
- The name 'Aurora' (I have a particular love for Northern/Southern Lights)

The apartment itself is small for the money but that's the price of Melbourne these days. 60sqm is the new 90sqm but it's enough room for what I need and a good layout for the one I've chosen so I'm very happy. Certainly a cut above some of the truly Hong Kong style boxed apartments with no car parks being built nearby.

All up it just seemed like the perfect fit to make a move finally after 12 years living down the road in Little Lonsdale St (where I will see it being built from my balcony !).

Completion is scheduled for Mid 2019

You could walk from your apartment all the way to Bourke Street without having to go outside.

Grollo you are a clever man - was just thinking of that nice benefit the other day.

BTW the absolute top of the lift overrun on the Level '96' is RL 286.32m - so you could almost round the height up to 271m ;-)

Large single page ad in today's The Age for this. I wonder how many age readers had a fit when they saw it

Given the incessant anti-development 'Nimby' mantra of 'The Age', I find it fascinating that they are
happy enough to set aside their ideals for a moment to accept the advertising revenues from such
Capitalistic endeavours.

A bit like 'we are happy to profit from selling our old site to developers for a squillion dollars' but we
really do hate developers, really, really!

Such poor moral standards....

Model is up !!!

The changing coloured lighting on the exterior is *way* cool .. cannot wait to see the real lighting for real !!

PS. Mods you need to change the thread title. It's 90L not 85L (yes including the missing floors) !

Wow, just, wow!

Seems you were right about the floors. Goes 80, 81,82,83...85. No 84th floor

Where is the model or rather, the display suite? I wouldn't mind stopping by and looking at it in person.

Well mate it's no worse than across the road .. That part of LaTrobe St was ruined 25 years ago when they decided to build a big concrete wall for Melb Central rather than opening it up to the street.

There's also going to be office space behind that boring glass podium so you can't exactly expect the hanging gardens of Babylon there, but I agree a bit more of a feature on the exterior wouldn't have hurt. Oh and a percentage of the left side facing LaTrobe will likely have signage for the hotel/services apartment component so it won't be totally blank.

It's the street level activity with the retail that matters the most I think so let's see what the outcome is ..

Patience !!

Q2 2015 it is expected to start .. but rest assured it will.

If the activity in the display suite (not to mention piles of contracts everywhere ready for signing) was anything to go by this building really could be sold out by Christmas as the agent told me a few weeks back .. some people were buying a second apartment just for the sake of it !!

Looks magnificent!

So will the glass be purple though? Or will it be a dark blue with purple accents here and there? Don't mind ether way as the model and renders look stunning. Can't wait for it to begin construction!

and congratulations on your purchase A-brain!

According to the brochure blurb the glass 'skin' is 'coated with a substance that reacts to light, its colour gently morphs from rosy hues into silver ..'

In other words yes it will be silver but a pretty funky one nby the sounds, and also two-tones of it following the shape of the lighting as you can clearly see in the last pic ! The reflections at different times of day should look superb ..

Oh and thanks !! I absolutely cannot wait to get up top there ..

Congratulations.

Do you have any floor plans to share or other marketing collateral? Very limited info is available on the website...

There were a few on the brochure posted a few pages back

It's deleted now but I got a copy before it disappeared, here's some of the floor-plans:

`Some very interesting floorplans there.

Given the space of the building, fitting in apartments into certain spaces seems to have been an interesting challenge.

Love the building design.
