No idea what it is meant to be, but it has been like that since at least 2009, possibly even earlier.

DEWA Substation between the two bridges, presume additional power required for all the new developments.

According to CTBUH, the penthouse is 40,000 square feet and has an asking price of 75,000,000 USD. 275,000,000 Euro. If its sold at this price it will be the most expensive penthouse ever sold in the Eastern Hemisphere and the fourth most expensive ever sold.
That floor is going to make some major profit, the cost to build is probably around 10,000,000 and the selling price is 75,000,000, awesome.

If you have this kind of money to spend you'd rather buy a plot and build yourself a home ... simple mathematics

Dubai’s Most Expensive Apartment Hits The Market For US$50 Million

The penthouse on top of ONE at Palm Jumeirah has hit the market for a staggering Dh181 million or roughly US$50 million.

Taking the top spot for Dubai’s most expensive apartment, the title was clinched from the famous Burj Khalifa after selling its penthouse for $16.3 million.

Developed by Omniyat, the penthouse comes with seven bedrooms, eight bathrooms and 12 parking spaces. With over 40,000 square feet there’s more than enough room for the helipad, outdoor space, three infinity pools and professional BBQ pit. The penthouse also comes with four docking spaces for the owner’s yachts.

Revealed: $54m penthouse for sale in luxury Palm project

Quote:

Omniyat, the Dubai-based luxury real estate developer, has announced the appointment of Brookfield Multiplex as the main contractor on its AED2 billion ($544 million) residential project on Dubai's Palm Jumeirah.

The construction of the One at Palm Jumeirah project with a gross construction area of 107,795 sq m is expected to take two years, it said in a statement.

The project is located on the first plot on the trunk of Palm Jumeirah and will house 90 ultra-luxurious apartments with pricing starting at AED14 million and rising to AED200 million for the penthouse

"I am delighted to announce the appointment of Brookfield Multiplex as the main contractor on the One at Palm Jumeirah," said Mark Phoenix, managing director of the Omniyat Group. "Our relationship with Brookfield Multiplex goes back a long time and both the management and team have always demonstrated the highest level of expertise and professionalism."

John Ferguson, executive chairman of Brookfield Multiplex added: "We are delighted to be chosen to build this unique and outstanding project, and we look forward to building on our existing relationship with Omniyat."

The apartments, designed by Tokyo-based interior designer Super Potato, will have access to three swimming pools, private yacht club, spas, gym, library, and private cinema.

"We're seeing buyers from as far as New York to as near as the Palm," said Phoenix.

This is 54,000,000 USD although for that amount of money you could build yourself a royal estate 54,000,000 for 42,000 square feet is not that bad of a deal in Dubai. Your paying 1,285 dollars per square foot. Manhattan penthouses sell for much more per square foot. I don't doubt this penthouse will sell.
