There is a lake and a river. The lake is called Alster and the river Elbe.
Hamburg has a lot water. Thats why it has more bridges than Venice and Amsterdam together.

Thank´s for sharing, Artiom1979.

Specially for the pics with the canals(simply forgot them)
and the christmas ones. Over the last years Hamburg really has developed into a "christmas city". Every year there are more lights than the year before.
Although I still think summer is the better time to visit the city!

P.s.: Hamburg is the Home to the US-soccer team during the Worldcup this summer!

@Frank Hannover: I have just one from St.Pauli. I missed the laser show(Porsche presented the new Cayman), because my girlfriends family from Ghana was staying with us for a week.
Here is the pic of St.Pauli

It's already three month old, though. I will try to get a new one next week .

@LuckyLuke: It's called Elbberg Campus. Located in Altona at the river Elbe.

Thank's for all the nice comments!

What I especially like about this collection is that it shows not only the Inner City, but also some other districts.

...yes, Hamburg is probably to big to show everything like interesting neighborhoods. What I ' m often missing are pics from e.g . Ottensen, Eppendorf with elevated trains and white facades,Isemarket and so on.

But Hamburg has just to much to offer ,which could be interesting for a forum like this...

Thanx 4 sharing Mr. Pink!

Let's hope that the Chicago Square with the skyscrapers will be built so that we get some new views for pictures .
