I did some calculation and comparison with the scale model.
The structural height of the tower minus the spire (but including the crown)
should be according to the diagram below from this point of view, if not a little taller..

Edited:
I’m more confident about this diagram below.

KTMB is currently in the red. Their lousy train management and services are consuming more money than they are gaining despite repeatedly visiting Japan to "learn" how the Japanese manage theirs. They just don't have time thinking about how to paint those domes.

The Malayan Railway HQ building should be sold and refurbished into a train-themed heritage hotel. Name it Old Malaya Hotel / British Malaya Hotel / Malayan Railway Hotel. I think there’s enough market just for train / rail enthusiasts, lol.

Exactly. And I seriously doubt those officials went to Japan with mere business class tickets anyway...

They just need a little bit paintjob for now. They should spend the last of their money to refurbish and upgrade their train services first or invest in other viable business in order to keep themselves afloat. I went to Japan several times myself, and I found out that the most important thing for a train company is placing their stations in right place. And most KTMB's stations are located in all the wrong place. The only stations where I can see a sizable amout of riders are KL Sentral, Mid Valley, Sungai Buloh, Seremban, Butterworth and old KL Station. The rest got more dust and stray cats than riders.
