I've been in the Five Ways Tower - I think we're better off knocking it down and building a new tower, it doesn't feel particularly hotel-like in there! Very eerie and dark feeling in there, even with sunlight coming through the windows.

(however, makes for a brilliant view of the city centre!)

I’d love them to keep it but I wouldn’t want it re-clad. Especially not like Park Regis. I’d prefer them to knock it down instead of doing a cheap re-clad.

It just needs new glazing. Keep all the lovely brickwork as it is. It would make an excellent hotel with a sky bar on the roof.

There was talk of knocking it down for student accommodation not too long ago

Wish they’d just do something with it slowly becoming more of an eyesore, more smashed windows, graffiti etc.

The problem is five ways house still use the base of the tower for meeting room space and it’s car park from my understanding

I believe five ways house is due to close too in coming years so will hopefully see something like Monaco house redevelopment here

From Matt Beach on a night of rooftopping Birmingham looks sublime from this angle, even better when zoomed out too

And one from the opposite direction. Making quite an impression on the horizon. Looking up Holliday St away from town.

Fully agree, fantastic location, great views, on site parking, railway line a couple of minutes away, metro stop soon to be round the corner, bars and restaurants close by, potential for conference as well as hotel facilities.
Five Ways Tower really stands out on the skyline, a real shame nobody can turn it into something operational again.

Feels a big, chunky development this when walking around Holliday St.

No playing around here, I guess we'll see the cladding/brickwork go up within a month
