Probably Seattle, maybe San Fran, but IMO San Fran doesn't really have asian characteristics. If it were for North America, then I would most def. choose Vancouver.

Yeah Seattle has quite a bit, actually the state of Washington holds a fair percentage itself.

Daly City is the most "Asian" city on the west coast, its the only united states city over 100,000 to have an asian majority (52 percent) ..... other than that I would say San Francisco (31 percent) mostly concentrated in Chinatown, the Sunset, and the Richmond ....

Asian population densities in San Francisco

dark red = 50% or above
red = 40 - 50%
orange = 30 - 40%
yellow = 20 - 30%
beige = 10 - 20%
white = 0 - 10%

I'm suprised to hear people say Seattle. I'd definately say SF & SD have a lot, but I think LA/OC has everyone beat.

Los Angeles metro has the most Asians per capita and total. From what I read it has more Koreans, Japanese, Hmong, Laotians, Thais, Indonesians, and Filipinos than any other metro in North America.

The Seattle area doesn't come close to the high percentage of asians in the bay area and orange county. Seattle is about 15% and bellevue is close to 20%. That may actually be the highest outside of california but cities such as milpitas and monterey park have well over 50%.

The LA metro has over 2 million asians. there are cities here that are basically 100% asian. The San Gabriel Valley is a mini asia with all the signs in native lanquages and no english anywhere. k Town too.

lol I've lived in every single one of those cities sometime in my lifetime. I currently live in Alhambra. It's true-- the cities are so over 50% Asian. In my old high school, Arcadia High, over 50% of the 5000+ students that attend were Asians.

but THAT is stretching it a bit. There's no city where it's basically 100%. It feels like it in the retail sectors/streets like Valley Blvd (which cross Alhambra, Monterey Park, San Gabriel, Rosemead) and Colima Blvd in Rowland Heights and Diamond Bar that FEEL like there are no English signs but there are. The San Gabriel Valley actually has A LOT of hispanics too-- probably over 40% in some areas mixed with Asians. Whites are the minorities in these parts of LA. I've literally been in schools before where there were literally only 4 White people in the entire grade of say 200.

Thats pretty bad. Lynbrook high school in San Jose is 70% asian, Monta Vista High school in Cupertino is 58%. An interesting article on asians in these 2 schools in the Wall Street Journal:
