And it will be over 2 GW capacity soon.
Indonesia expects 185 MW in addition to geothermal capacity in 2019
http://www.thinkgeoenergy.com/indone...acity-in-2019/

Quote:
Four geothermal power plants (PLTP) with a total capacity of 185 megawatts are targeted to start commercial operations until the end of 2019.

The four plants are Lumut Balai Unit 1 PLTP in South Sumatra with a 55 MW capacity operated by PT Pertamina Geothermal Energy (PGE), Muara Laboh Unit 1 PLTP in West Sumatra with an 80 MW capacity by PT Supreme Energy, Sorik Merapi 1 PLTP in Sumatra North with a capacity of 45 MW by PT Sorik Merapi Geothermal Power, and Sokoria 1 PLTP in NTT with a capacity of 5 MW by PT Sokoria Geothermal Indonesia with a capacity.
...
Moreover, currently the ESDM Ministry is pushing for an EBT (renewable energy) mix of 23 percent by 2025 to be realized soon.
More to come..
Indonesia to offer of three geothermal early stage development assignments in 2019
http://www.thinkgeoenergy.com/indone...ignments-2019/

Quote:
The Directorate General of Renewable Energy and Energy Conservation Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (EDSM) plans to offer three areas of preliminary and exploration survey (WPSPE) assignments for geothermal energy this year with a total of 126 MW.

The three WPSPE that will be offered this year are Pentadio in Gorontalo with resources of around 25 MW, Ria-Ria Sipaholon in North Sumatra 60 MW, and Lokop in Aceh 41 MW.
...
In addition to auctioning WPSPE, this year the ESDM Ministry also plans to auction five WKPs with a total development plan of 175 MW. The five auctions are Lainea WKP in Southeast Sulawesi with 66 MW of resources and a 20 MW development plan, Sembalun WKP in NTB with a development plan of 20 MW of 100 MW resources, Telaga Ranu WKP in North Maluku with 5 MW development plans from 72 resources MW, WKP Gunung Wilis in East Java with a development plan of 20 MW from 50 MW resources, and Mount Galunggung WKP in West Java with a development plan of 110 MW from 289 MW data sources.

Meanwhile, the assignment of the Kotamobagu WKP in North Sulawesi with the planned 80 MW of 185 MW resources has been given to PT Pertamina Geothermal Energy (PGE).

Tesla launches its Megapack, a new massive 3 MWh energy storage product

Quote:
“Megapack significantly reduces the complexity of large-scale battery storage and provides an easy installation and connection process. Each Megapack comes from the factory fully-assembled with up to 3 megawatt hours (MWhs) of storage and 1.5 MW of inverter capacity, building on Powerpack’s engineering with an AC interface and 60% increase in energy density to achieve significant cost and time savings compared to other battery systems and traditional fossil fuel power plants.”
Quote:
“Using Megapack, Tesla can deploy an emissions-free 250 MW, 1 GWh power plant in less than three months on a three-acre footprint – four times faster than a traditional fossil fuel power plant of that size. Megapack can also be DC-connected directly to solar, creating seamless renewable energy plants.”

Portugal reaches record-low price in 1.4-GW solar tender

July 31 (Renewables Now) - Portugal's 1.4 GW solar energy auction was heavily oversubscribed and achieved an average price of EUR 20 (USD 22.3) per MWh, the government announced on Tuesday.

One of the licenses reached the record low price of EUR 14.76 per MWh, the Secretary of State for Energy, Joao Galamba, told Reuters.

The ceiling price in the tender was EUR 45 per MWh.

In all, the tender attracted 64 bidders, of which 13 won contracts. The government said that Spain’s Iberdrola SA (BME:IBE) managed to secure the largest number of lots, while French renewables developer Akuo Energy SAS won the most capacity at 370 MW.

The government expectations were exceeded both in terms of bidding volume and of price, said energy minister Joao Pedro Matos Fernandes

Those Tesla battery megabucks are very convincing products.

July 2019 was the warmest July on record

https://www.ft.com/content/a41450c2-...8-aa6628ac896c

Quote:
"While July is usually the warmest month of the year for the globe, according to our data, it also was the warmest month recorded globally by a very small margin,” said Jean-Noël Thépaut, head of the Copernicus Climate Change Service. “With continued greenhouse gas emissions and the resulting impact on global temperatures, records will continue to be broken in the future.”
EDIT: to access the link, Google "Global temperatures match record levels in July", and click the Financial Times link. FT is free if accessed through Google.

40% of the electric power fuel mix down to 25% in just 5 years. I knew US coal was on the decline due to renewables and the lowered scarcity of natural gas, but that's a big drop.

Another 1.3-GW coal-fired plant is shutting down in Indiana.

Solar panels 640w kit
New kit i bought a few weeks ago

I'm able to use the microwave, vacuum cleaner, electric kettle etc without major problems. These panels can be modified to have a slight rotation.
You can have a look at the details and prices above.
i acquired these at my local supplier here in El Bolson, Argentina.
Together with this kit i bought a pellet burning heater "Pallazzetti" that can be controlled with an app and a national made high efficiency stove. In the near future I'm looking forward to buying an electric car so i can be completely detached from paying any services or gas.

Are these price ok or how much is it to have solar energy on your countries?

Hard to tell, because all the information that could help us find out how much you actually paid is in Spanish. If you paid US$139,860 for it, you were probably ripped off.

So the battery was the biggest cost item. For the solar panels alone, you paid $580, which comes out to less than 0.91 $/W. That's pretty good for residential-scale.

US emissions, while high, have been steadily declining for a while, even under Trump administration. US already has lower CO2 emissions per capita than Canada, and will probably soon pass South Korea/Japan.
