The nearly completed E420 south of Couvin. It even features a third lane on an uphill stretch.

And layed in concrete. Lovely stretch. Third lane is a must on uphill stretches otherwise you have 60km/h trucks next to 120km/h cars. Or trucks doing 70 trying to overtake slower trucks slowing down cars. Good for some serious crashes.

Inconsistent signage in Arlon... The advance sign lists 3 E25/E411 destinations to the left, the actual turn sign lists 3 destinations as well, yet only 1 of them is on both signs....

Also, got to love that old style warning light (you can spot them in Flanders too) to signage there is a possiblity of crossing or joining traffic in to your lane. Instead of changing the layout of the intersection.
Ofthen they are even still in combination with normal traffic lights if the crossing is not completly conflict free ofthen even accopanied by black and whit lights that either signage an 0 (conflict! don't drive) or -- or | depending on wich direction currently is conflict free. Normally they only use them with for when there is a tram crossing but you can see them on normal intersections as well.
This intersection for insstance has those: https://www.google.be/maps/@50.82238.../data=!3m1!1e3

this "mini" ring road around arlon is so badly designed and the constantly increasing traffic from workers to the grand duchy do not smooth the whole process... meanwhile crossing the nearby borders, roads are so pristine. we talk about 40.000 daily commuters...

@joshsam
I don't understand your post exactly.
The picture you posted are the public transport traffic lights in case bus or tram have a dedicated bedding. These lights are not intended for other road users.
- = red (equivalent to stop)
o = prepare to stop (eq orange)
\ , | or / = passage allowed in the direction indicated by the line (eq. to green arrow)
triangle = passage allowed in all directions (eq to full green light)

Wihtout dedicated bedding they follow the normal red-orange-green traffic lights.

At intersections without traffic lights there are always conflicts. That's not necessarily a bad thing. Posting a warning lights can be a smart move in such cases, especially since traffic lights are not always needed (over-regulation is the disease of this time).

Autoroute A601

The Autoroute A601 has been reannounced in April to open in the next Infrastructure Plan.

However, the project has been cancelled recently in September.

Today, it was said that it can maybe be relived again.

It is now unsure as of today if this project will be realised.

That road is 50 years old. It was then abandoned some years ago and I assume you mean "reopen" not open.

By now they will need to demolish everything before a new road can be layed there. It's overgrown afther 5 years in disuse. I've said it many times over the years but there is absolutely no intention by the Wallon government to reopen it.

That's exact, thank you.

The project for the total renovation equals 10 millions euros and was added to the Plan infrastructures 2019-2024.

Bad quality but you can clearly see that it's signed E420 and N5 on km posts, e.g. at 1:20 or 1:55. That means, there is no A numbering. The same was reported about the Couvin bypass, opened two years ago.

I think most people would be glad if they actually could do 100 there

Driven on it twice - Machelen to Sint-Stevens-Woluwe and Haut-Ittre to Strombeek-Bever. On July weekday afternoons. Don’t remember it being that bad.

The summer months are quieter because there's no school and a lot of people are away on vacation in that period.

R0 (Brussels) and R1 (Antwerp) are both serious bottlenecks and are very saturated.

Saturation is 14h+ each day. Some sections of R1 and R2 top over 18h/day of saturation, wich is insane.
