which city have astonished (surprised) you much ???

have u ever been to a city or just seen a picture of a city which really makes your mind change completely...for instance, you know a city really as a hell ,but when you see it ,you realize how nice it is...or the opposite...so, which city and why???

i just checked some harare-zimbabwe pictures after seeing your message and it really surprised me too...it is very developed considering an african city

Tehran and Nairobi are two cities that I had no preconception of that were much more modern / high-rise than I'd ever have thought. I've been to Nairobi, but not Tehran by the way.

Tehran (I've seen much better images than these)







Why are people saying Chicago? What was a surprise about it?
