And it's not just coming from Kawangware. A few of the big apartments are openly dumping raw sewage into it as well. I've been told that the effluent from even the new mid-high rises on Ngong Rd are also making they're way into the river. These pics are from one of my walks down that section between kingara & ole odume:

it smells as bad as it looks


but most of the walk is amazing!


and most of it is so green, with nothing but the sound of birds & the river that you forget you're in the middle of the city.


I dream of the day these rivers are usable again & can walk/bike from one hood to the next. But you know... it's not only the pollution, we also have the encroachers to deal with...

Yes this is crazy. NEMA isn’t nema at all. That agency should be disbanded. Tag them on Twitter with these pics bro. We cannot have this yet tax payers pay salaries for staff there.

Damn those pictures made my heart sink.My hometown the city aspiring to be an international world class city still tolerates slum like effluent in Lavington?
