So true. I've had people on imgur accuse me of faking vintage photos by photoshopping. I just give them the source of the orginal photo....issue solved.

Toy trains. Since I was a kid I love trains. I had a T.T. scale train - scale model. Still have today most of the rolling stock (the tracks gust rust). T.T. was invented in U.S.A., but East-Germany becamed famous for making them... during a period only in East-Germany they made T.T. scale trains, after other producers stoped making them or run out of business.
The one from the picture is on O (0) scale I guess. To big for most homes in Romania. Anyway, most people don't know that H.0. (H.O.) means half zero. It is the most popular scale in Europe.

When I was a kid I got a modern version of the racing track.

I suspected when I've seen those asphalt tracks that streetcars used to run there. I avoy the term trolle(car) because in Europe trolley = trolleybus. In Bucharest we have both streetcars and trolleybuses. Only U.S.A. city left with both where Philadelphia, Boston and San Francisco.

Geah, when I've seen this one I automatically thought of "National Cash Register" Company and geah, the picture is with it!

1978? seems like yesterday to me. I'm 66 years young. I agree that old times were NOT better times!

If you live in a small city like I do, Cedar Rapids Iowa pop. 130,000, in the USA public transportation is poor. People need their cars to do most everything. We have buses here. They don't operate after 6:30pm and never on Sundays or holidays. I'm sure we are not the only city like this in the US.
