Danica is going to build a new 35,000 sqm offices complex on Lundtoftevej, close to DTY and the future lightrail.

Lots of activity on the neighbouring site to Microsoft's new HQ.
Lyngby Lokal station to the left.




There is an ongoing discussion amongst planners as to whether the Lyngby-Nærum shuttle rail service should be incorporated in the future Ring Letbane.

If so, the line would descend to Klampenborgvej at this point to the right of Microsoft's building.




This building beside Lyngby StorCenter is beginning to look more and more delapidated. Could this be a sign of the new PLH project which I referred to in post #72 is getting closer.




This will be the access to the center from Lyngby Hovedgade if the project is built.

After endless discussions and numerous design proposals for the Andersen & Martini site on Lyngby Hovedgade, a building with retail in the ground floor and youth housing on the upper floors is now expected to go under construction in spring 2017.

Noticeable progress on the Lyngby center site. See photo a couple of posts above taken 2 months ago. This will be one huge parking basement. It should meet the entire center's needs.
Now things will begin to go really fast with this exciting development, which will hopefully culminate with the reestablishment of the fæstningskanal along the north side of the center (the area seen in the second and third photos).

So cool to watch real urbanity in the suburbs.

Lyngby is such an unique pearl among them all, and the best example of how you can plan and expand with a higher aim than your city's population numbers actually indicate.
It should be reformed the natural united municipality center for cities like Søllerød, Gentofte, Jægersborg, Gladsaxe a.o.

That must be next to Sorgenfri Station, not Virum. That's where the police station was.

Either Lyngby-Taarbæk is very spoiled, smart or simply offering the perfect conditions, since it is blessed with all these huge projects.
