Now that's one classic example of wasting prime land in the CBD. Imenti house is the only building in the CBD bordered by streets on all sides and smack at the intersection of Nairobi CBD's two main avenues.

i passed by the site today, one of the senior guys on site told me its going to be 23 floors with 3 basement floors. Excavation is still in progress...

From google earth it looks like they have only one excavator doing the digging...

A contract was signed today between Upperhill Chambers Kenya Limited and China Wu Yi for the construction of a 26 storey office tower (104.4m) containing three underground parking garages. The contract duration is 130 weeks. The project is worth kshs 4.084 Billion

26 storey office tower (104.4m) .... Not that bad... But would have been awesome if only it went up to 30(140+)

I won't be surprised as if China Wu Yi decide to do build their own "Avic complex" to take advantage of the real estate boom in Kenya.These guys are gaining a lot of traction in Kenya.
