I have no words... Just makes you wonder how much more is awaiting for Dubai since every project launched till now has been greeted with "wow"s and "Aaah"s by us only to be forgotten later because a bigger and more astonishing project is launched ... will this happen to the canal as well? we'll have to wait n see

4 min, 44 sec into the video, you see that everyone who bought Jumeirah Islands property on the Jebel Ali side now suddenly have Canal front homes.

building the canal also means: bye bye jebel ali power station

it would have been removed anyway but that's a fantastic replacement
where all the power station stuff is right now we will soon have airport city and a canal

what a change

people living at the jebel ali end of dubai marina, like in kg tower will now have a nice surrounding.

no........ lol......... that will never go. I wirked there and they are currently spending millions and millions of dollars on upgrading it. It has to be on the coast and it is a HUGE facility. I even asked one of the engineers if they would ever move it and he said no. He sed that it was Dubais one and only power plant and thats why it was so huge.

Sadly, this has to remain there. It is too expensive to replace. Look at the amount being invested in that plant now. its crazy.

By the way, there are these "things" :-) in water that you marked... (maybe im not up to date), but what is that thing directly next to the palm jebel ali....its not marked red (i mean the thing between the left-most red marked object and the palm jebel ali)

i mean i see jebel ali harbour, but directly above that harbour is something next to the palm jebel ali which seems to me like an extension of the existing harbour... did i miss that project ?

the pictures and the video of the waterfront do not involve such a project, maybe it's an extension of the existing harbour. (is that something that has already been announced ? or still to come :-) ?!)

if it's true it would make the right side of palm ja uncomfortable to live there

i just hope this is an exaggerated drawing
i mean, look at it, looks like a drawing by a 3 yr old

WOW

They should connect this canal to creek.

Now that all coast of Dubai is filled with projects its time to start plan projects in Abu Dhadu & Sharjah? Or are they now starting to use the inner land of Dubai?

í'm just wondering construction on the land reclamation has not yet begun?
and it was announced 2 years ago

but it will be finished in 2020, so.... lot of time but it will look ugly being so close to an ultra-luxury development
