In all mentioned cities you used capital letters but not Warsaw, is it some kind of discrimination?

Anyway, I am for HK right now

What about NYC? The layout of many projects, condos, and co-ops in NYC are essentially commieblocks, only no one calls them that even. If you look on google earth, you see dozens of massive commieblock plots scattered all over the five boroughs. The scale and scope of these towers definitely rivals that of any eastern European country.

I'd go so far as to say NYC is the commieblock capital of the US. Who woulda thought an American city would have such impressive commieblocks?

Moscow, the craddle of commieblocks!

Where is Singapore on that list????

And about Sao Paulo: That's not commieblocks in the sence of Plattenbauten. Sampa is not a commieblock city at all - it has an endless sea of highrises in the center but they are either office blocks or condominiums for the middle class. Commieblocks do exist in the form of Cingapuras - social appartment blocks that should replace the favelas, but most people in Sampa live in attached or single houses.

A nicer example of a Cingapura:

Why Moscow does not have many commieblocks of 30 storeys or above? I prefer commie-scrapers rather than dense commie-midrises.

How would you people define commieblocks?

I mean, if the buildings directly face the street (as they do in traditionnal urbanism), are they commiblocks or do they need to be organised such as in the photo?

Or is it modernist architecture that defines commieblocks?

What about Paris, for me it is the western European city of commies.

A bit of inner Paris southern commies. (commies but not public housing)
Scroll >>>>>>>

A bit of Orgue de Flandre skyline in northern inner Paris

Front de Seine in Western inner Paris

Of course it is only a bit of Paris commies.

Seoul is definitely a candidate.

It might be the city in the world with most commieblock apartments.
