Of course this technique is not that preciese, but an offset of more than 50 meters in either direction would be surprising to me.
This being said, it is also possible that the model was intentionally not built to scale so the final height remains a mystery like it was with the Burj back in the days. All I'm saying is that this model is most likely not showing a new world's tallest tower. What will actually be build is probably different, and hopefully taller
I think so as well. They are intentionally not showing it in scale.

I wouldn't say we should trust it completely but it's a good point of reference. Emaar is keeping the details on this a huge secret so it is safe to say that a lot of these height guesses aren't going to be 100% accurate.

My guess is that it is going to be taller than what we think because it is in such a prime location and it's Emaar so frankly it's probably going to be really, freaken, tall.

Aurecon joins team for record-breaking Dubai tower

'The Tower’ at Dubai Creek Harbour. will be the focal point of a major new residential and leisure development. Calatrava who is leading the design and engineering work for the project, which has been commissioned by Dubai-based Emaar Properties.

Plans for the US$1bn (£700m) tower were announced in April. The final height has not yet been given, though it will reach a greater height than the 828m-tall Burj Khalifa, which has been the world’s tallest building since 2009.

Aurecon project director Adrian Jones said: “The Tower will test the craftsmanship of Aurecon as we play our part in making a mark on the built fabric of mankind. It is an absolute privilege to be entrusted by Santiago Calatrava and Emaar Properties to work on this project, and we have assembled a stellar team to bring this idea to life.”

“The design is a perfect fit for our requirements and integrates not just design excellence, but also strong environmental and smart-tech considerations,” said Emaar Properties chairman Mohamed Alabbar. “With The Tower, we are delivering a compelling destination that will add long-term economic value to Dubai and the United Arab Emirates.”

Dubai Planning its Next Tallest Tower

Quote:
Dubai has always had a great affinity for tall structures, with skyscrapers popping up all over the city throughout its peak developmental years. The newest planned addition to the Dubai skyline will be no different, set to stand at 928 metres, 100 metres taller than the current tallest building in the world.

I asked Emaar salesman In Dubai mall if the tower will be over 1000m and he told me lets be realistic, Dubai would always aim for the highest and it'll for sure be the highest in the world once it opens. Plus he told me that the foundations will be 100m deep and it'll be ready just before expo.

Burj Khalifa took 6 years to complete. They realistically think they can finish this one in just 4 years?

This has only a dozen floors on top of it .. so for the better 75% of its length it will be simply a core rising which will go up fast. This tower can easily beat Jeddah Tower and finish before it if Emaar stood by their plan of starting construction this year

If they actually go ahead with the build this tower could rise fast with a floor and a half rise at a time. I just hope they won't leave concrete on the exterior of the tower, but instead give it a nice additional classy cladding.

Every time I see they CN Tower in real life the concrete is such an eye soar.
