Andhra Pradesh government received 14 proposals and out of which 3 were selected for final round:

1. Foster+partners Architects: http://www.fosterandpartners.com/projects/

2. GMP Architects: http://www.gmp-architekten.com/projects.html

3. Space Group Architects: http://www.spacegrouparchitects.com/projectindex.htm

One would be selected among the three on 2nd December. The company which gets selected has to submit the complete detailed structural plan by March 2017 and the Construction works would commence from April 2017 and completed by October 2018 - 18 months . (News as on today)

Foster and GMP have a very good track record !!

Foster will be great.
London cityscape is great around Thames river - mostly because of Foster designs.

So it's fosters ? But why can't they seek public feedback before concluding - they had a debacle once already

They should've asked the public first time around with the proposals but now they are running over the deadlines. Norman Foster is a respected architect and I'm confident we'll see something unique and modern. Also, Norman Foster just won the competition and don't have anything final to present it to the public. They may have prepared a concept design but nothing more.

Well yes - even that copncept design is something that should be public domain. That will onlyu add value to the process and avoid going back and forth

No doubt about fosters abilities. Most of his buildings are landmarks in respective cities.
But then even Maki was supposed to be very good - but his work indicated its junior guys who did the job.

We dont want same with fosters

the maki rejection is also dramatic
they could have selected next best option then to avoid waste of time

but AP Go transparency and accepting public opinion is very impressive

yes it was dramatic
they are receptive to public opinion - yes - but this was post facto last time

they should do it upfront at least this time around

This is a very good move.

Foster is an accomplished firm with great credentials that can build a marvellous skyline like in London

And Hafeez contractor is known to be a clients friends with pragmatic approach to things, willingness to adapt to clients needs, speed and understanding of Indian conditions

I am sure they will do good

Hope it works well and we get some speed now
