ok,ok, my point was the colors, not the architecture. I can see the trend already - the three buildings on Gurko str. I feel like next to them will be the place for the new circus of Sofia , but i also find something playful. And when i try to imagine Graf Ignatiev after 5 years there's no reason to be something different from Gurko. BTW the picture from Copenhagen was just a cursory view. Actually in maybe 90% of the new facades in Sofia there is a mix between two colors, and not like the buildings from the picture for example.

To tell you the truth i also like more the buildings from the picture of Paris, but seems like the case in Sofia will not be the same. So, maybe Copenhagen is more appropriate for comparison in terms of colors at this stage

Good that u mention it.. I too think that we need a at least bicolor like painting for SF buildings. It should be focused on the nearby shops though... For instance the building which includes the new Starbucks should be green whereas houses where there is a McDonalds included shall be yellow red... So that yellow is the base color, which can be mixed depending on the colors of certain shops...

No... honestly... too many too colorfull houses are kinda... well.. unstylish

Are there any status updates for renovated buildings which are not located in the center?

I think the commie blocks near the busstation direction Sofia west have been renovated, they look good and similar to some commie blocks in Liubljana.

I don't understand why 90% of the renovated buildings are coloured in yellow

Renovated recently , built before 80-90 years But I think yellow isn't the best color for that building something beige may be.

Well, i'm little confused, because i think they rebuilt it in some way. But if they kept the original facade, it's ok. Bad, i don't remember how it looked before the restoration, but it was definetely ugly

Thanks for the updates!

I like yellow on buildings.. if its the right shade, it's one of the three best colors Btw, anyone been to Berlin -- don't you think it looks like Sofia?

Straight forward: No! (But there are some parts like Prenzlauer Berg or Pankow where the buildings remind, if the lighting is right, somehow a little bit of SF)

Yeah this hotel in Berlin, Pennsylvania reminds me kind of Neo-Muto-Barroque in SF

they're way more beautiful than american AC's with the unit mounted to the window half the way in the room and half of it sticking out of the window. Now that's pathetic!
