Sorry Sefton. As soon as you bumped the thread I knew it was something planning related so I was on to the planning site asap, saving the DAS et all for my own personal enjoyment *geek*

I like this building, I don't think we should look into the heights of 4 & 5 too much yet, but I do hope we get that height and also a full glass tower too.

Oh thanks for those. That's great news that we will have yet another office tower over 100 metres. It looks like it's clad in corten steel too in that one render like my bad attempt on microsoft paint, it would be nice if we were to get a change of colour.

This building is starting to grow on me.

I like this. 14 stories - not bad, nicely designed too imo which is the most important.

As for the others, a nice stepping stone effect seems to be occurring. AC1 (which could go a floor or two taller) will be significantly smaller than 4 but no-less elegant & 4 in the middle will be "dwarfed" by AC5 at the back to achieve this. I'd be happy with that. Possibilities too with the realm - all getting quite interesting now

And this is on lower ground than Alpha so could be over 110 metres

I thought I was being optimistic with 4 and 5 here. I won't post it again, promise.

All of this could move quite quickly, if they offer HMRC the best option.

I knew this building would come through well!

It was all dependent on materials, and I like the choice. The design is solid, bevelled windows. I'm crying a bit inside.

I hadn't appreciated how unusual the new HSBC building is going to look. Just hope it doesn't look like a Tunisian 4 star hotel!

Man this site is so constrained. I'm starting to worry about how everything comes out at ground level. The building is nice enough though, shame about the hotels around it being such trash in design.

Not sure what you mean... why would everything coming out at ground level... as oppose to level 1 or - 1 make the site constrained?

I'm just thinking in terms of tall buildings closely packed, doesn't make for great public spaces. they'll probably be in shadow for most of the day.

Take a look at the great quality public spaces around Canary Wharf That_G. All of them are towered over by buildings much taller than proposed here, and they work superbly well.

I think Arena Central could beat Paradise for quality as long as there are enough cafes and restaurants included.

Who ever thought that a wiggly path was a good idea? I anticipate that being used never

Visually, not a chance. Especially with this one, and the two hotels. The materials aren't great on either as well. Paradise can't get that bad. I expect the design and materials to be far better too for the remaining Paradise buildings.
