YONKERS | 55 Buena Vista Avenue | 24 fl | Pro

Potential: Teutonia Buena Vista Project

Quote:
The eco-friendly, 25-floor, 412-unit building will feature innovative amenities that incorporate green technologies, community participation and landmark preservation. When complete the project will span from 41 (the trolly building and lobby of Metro 92) to 70 Buena Vista Avenue.

an article from late last year states that this development is still in the works, despite a... rather unfortunate occurrence involving the developer.

LoHud: Partner said developer's shooting won't stall project

Quote:
[...]
Eric Wolf, a principal at MetroPartners and one of Kenneth Dearden's business partners, said work at the Teutonia Hall site on Buena Vista Avenue will continue.
Dearden has accused his wife Emily of shooting him in the head last year in a lawsuit.
MetroPartners plans to build an apartment complex that will incorporate part of the former German music hall's facade.
Wolf didn't comment on Dearden's personal affairs, but he said that the environmental clean-up at the site is expected to be done by the first quarter of 2015.
"We are in the process of putting together our construction financing," said Wolf. "Things are proceeding a little slower than we wanted, but they are proceeding nicely."

Developer revives plans for former Teutonia Hall site in Yonkers

Quote:
The developer has applied to the Yonkers Planning Board to renew the previously expired approvals. At its July meeting, the Planning Board declared its intention to act as lead agency for the review process.
“We are not starting from square one with the plans,” developer Eric Wolf said. “Consequently, we anticipate a shorter time for the approval process because much of the work on our end is already done.”

AMS buys lot in Yonkers for $18.3M with plans to build 24-story rental building

New York City-based AMS Acquisitions LLC has snapped up a 50,000-square-foot lot in downtown Yonkers for $18.3 million, the real estate investment firm said in a release. AMS plans to build a 24-story rental building with 361 units at the site at 55 Buena Vista Avenue, which was once home to the Teutonia Music Hall. Last week, AMS said it planned to shell out $16 million to the City of Yonkers for the 6-acre Chicken Island parking lot, where it will build a mixed-use development and luxury hotel. “We believe these sites are some of the best locations in downtown Yonkers,” said a statement from Avie Abadie, a principal at AMS Acquisitions. AMS purchased the site on Buena Vista Avenue from Kohl Construction, according to the firm.
