Listen here, I do not - repeat not, troll. This is plainly a case of seasoned forumers here thinking they are more entitled to their opinion (be it positive or negative) than newcomers ..... and then trying to make the newcomers seem less entitled to *their* opinions by saying exactly what you have just said there above.

This is where it has to stop. Freedom of speech, or is it? Is it a sort of exclusive club where if you have had thousands of posts and have been here for longer you are thus able to behave in a condescending manner to others, just because they have their opinion on something that doesn't necessarily sit comfortably with the general consensus?

Ridge please stop being so argumentative, you are of course entitled to your opinion as is anyone, there is no need to argue it into the ground though.

If the Birmingham forum is an exclusive club, then everyone here is a member of it and they're entitled to express their opinion and others are entitled to be critical or not be critical. This does not depend on who has the most posts or likes or been posting the longest. Everyone is entitled to post their opinion. Everyone is entitled to agree or disagree.

I suggest a little less oversensitivity on the forum as we can be a sensitive bunch. I also don't see anybody trolling on the last few pages so can we be careful how we address people please.

And on the topic of Snowhill 3, I've never really liked the building and don't tend to visit this thread very often. It feels like it has the wrong proportions if that makes sense. Don't now whether it's my eyesight but it always looks slightly odd. However I like the 400,000 sqft of office space it's bringing to the city centre.

Anyway, enjoy the forum folks.

How on earth is this not in the completed section yet? What is left to do with this place? Internals?

Construction started over 2 and a half years ago, but since construction started, BAM have also started Two Chamberlain Square, took over One Chamberlain Square and have now started 103 Colmore Row, not sure how the sector works but maybe workers have been spread out, because One and Two Chamberlain Square have also slowed down.

Dunno but perhaps it's a question of when Business Rates will become payable?
If the building was officially completed but BT hadn't actually signed a contract, at some stage business rates would possibly be levied on Ballymore Properties and on a building this size they would be pretty sizeable.

According to someone close to us, the contractor will apparently hand this over in November. Apparently being the key word there

Seconded. It has a very London feel to me and that's no bad thing.

Fingers crossed there is a letting in the pipeline. Would be awesome to have an extra 1000-2000 people roaming around the area.

I think BT will be taking over majority of the floors. Totally agree, extra work force roaming around will only be a positive.

Also if BT are becoming a tenant, this should encourage more commercial buildings to be built, as this was letted out quickly after being built.

Would Love a glass tower to be built in on the bomb site. What a view for drivers on the a38 when entering into the city!

O really? That's great news.

Any idea when there will be a specific announcement?

More people in the area must create a demand for Steelhouse Lane improvements, the hubbub of the Colmore area abruptly ends beyond the Wesleyan in spite of it being utterly stunning down that way. The methodist central hall falling through is hugely disappointing as we won't be seeing a return of businesses to the ground floor along corporation street either

According to this tweet all might not be finalised with BT and Three SnowHill... I don't have access to the full article unfortunately
