Talking about stretching the city down Pershore St I wish the Smithfield site was opened up properly with maybe creating a temporary and immediate new road straight across to link Sherlock St to Digbeth to ease congestion around Smallbrook. And in the large space create the plots of land for temporary structures for Digbeth Dining Club / Farmer's Market eateries and areas of grassland. Needs some impetus in getting people down there before actual buildings go up.
The Timber Yard is great by the way

My thoughts exactly,

Rather than letting the site sit there for years, The Council should straight way get to work on putting in place the Roads and setting aside the individual Plots for development, like Brindley Place was in the early years.

Shame the city and developers don't think like this though. That's why I ranted about Brum the other day - we seem to take forever in getting the most obvious eyesores and bad parts dealt with, then ages to replace with innovative ideas and have no thought process of making the city and easier place to get around. Personally I would love I Choose Birmingham to run the city.

Wasn't thrilled when this first surfaced, but it's grown on me. It's already having a positive impact on the area's streetscape and it's filling the gap nicely.

That last photo, imagine if the SBQ1-4 and Ladywood House projects didn't flop, wth 103 going up in the background it would have been a totally different view, seems we'll be stuck in 60s Birmingham for a while.

I can’t understand the hold up at ladywood house to be honest, was originally put off for the station works then for the metro line then just went quiet

I think it would make better use being a hotel rather than offices though to be honest

Unfortunately MSP, the rest of the great filler's around here are not coming fast enough and most of Southside is more typical of 1970's Moscow and that's on a good day.
